Triathlete punches woman en route to win!!!

Read Alison's comment on the blog. It is clear her friends who took the video/pictures did something after the incident by her own admission by saying that they pushed to have the guy DQ'd. Come on, they had to have some kind of confrontation even if it was with the RD standing there.

No, I'll back 'Deleting History' on this one.

In the absence of information/video, one man's name was dragging through the mud and then attempts to defend/express counter-arguments were suppressed(by the biased blogger). To make things worse, many on-lookers have relied on societal double-standards to further persecute this guy. Speculating very-plausible alternatives is the least that a critical-thinking citizen can do (emphasis: at this point in time given what is in front of us).

Release the video Alison, so we can see who the real egotistical narcissist is.

God have mercy on this woman's poor husband. It's no wonder he didn't do anything to protect her honor.

If she just wants to let this go away (as she states in her post), then why is she pursuing legal action?

During the swim leg of a local triathlon a few years ago I touched a woman's heel very hard with the side of my face. It was definitely a "poor decision 'in the moment'". I don't recall apologizing sincerely or otherwise. Don't know anything about the other incident.

I am starting to think I would like to punch this b*tch too, of course en route to finishing a triathlon. Seriously there have been times on runs that imagine if certain ex-girlfriends standing there I would love to give them a good shove into a lake.

I wanted to chime and give a bravo to this thread. I read it early on, thought it had some potential to be a great one. It started very slow and I hadn't given it thought until today and - woah - it certainly did not disappoint.

I have to make a few observations, some have been made, some haven't:

- Not seeing the video makes it impossible to know exactly what happened.

- Both are at fault. There is no % involved - if you screwed up, then you screwed up. Both needed to stand up and apologize.

- Onto the thread: is anybody (other than the actual posters) buying what insulting supporters of the woman saying? I have seen some bad, biased trolls before, but c'mon, you are insulting our intelligence thinking we would believe all the insults and put-downs you are spewing. That is not going to win you over any supporters. If that is actually the guy pulling a troll trying to drum up dislike for her and her supporters, well then well done.

- Lastly, to all of the people who are not biased/involved in the story itself trying to make a decent conversation about this subject - I refer back to my 2nd point, just because somebody says that the woman has some fault does not have to be exclusively blaming her. I think the most reasonable responses have been those that place the place the blame on both - she should have had a better understanding of her surroundings and he needed to react with a bit more grace, either during the incident or afterward.

Either way, stop with all the name-calling - you are not helping your side of the discussion look any better. Just produce a video or move on KNOWING that you both came out of this showing poor examples of how to handle yourself and a situation.

That's not true at all. If she backed into him at the last second then it's absolutely exclusively her that is at fault and he owes no one an apology.
