I don't get what motivates many of these guys to choose Oregon. Verzbicas I get, but many of these guys will enter as stars and not even make the "A" team. My kids are recruited athletes, and one of the things we look for is a school where they can actually run!
no. that is exactly why you pick a top school like oregon, I would much rather be a guy that gets drowned out and doesnt do much for the team until redshirt jr year than safely make some lack-luster team. I my opinion, you gotta test your grit. I mean you might as well go d3, no hating but honestly how much does an all american in d3 really mean(I know, tell that to Nick Symmonds).
Besides Oregon's 5 this year was 100th place at ncaas and i know that was without their true 5/7 but still, being top 100 at NCAAs is a feat, but not a daunting one by any means for a true d1 athlete if healthy. Even the best teams are makeable. ok state this year, wisco and Colorado's glory days in the early 2000s definitly being exceptions amonst others
