Wofford was actually second to last at this years indoor championships. UNCG scored only 1 point from Thompson in the 5k, while Wofford scored 5.

Western is the clear favorite with App and Samford battling out for second. With Apps long jumper getting kicked off for stealing and some of their distance guys not performing up to par, it's safe to say Western SHOULD take the title. Not saying this will happen, it just wont surprise me one bit if they do.

I run for Western and the plan is for Tucker to run in the 200 since it is a weaker event in the Socon. He was taking it easy the first hundred and ran that time only by hammering the second hundred for the win in his heat.

There went all of Western's points in the distance events.

the answer is YES. Samford and Western should both knock off App. Instead of a 3-peat, they'll be 3rd in the conference. They were handled 2 weeks ago by Western at a small dual meet. Say goodbye to the Conference Titles...time to get real sappy at appy!
OR App wins a second consecutive triple crown. App is the favorite until they lose, where would western have gotten enough points to win considering they're only distance points out of the 800,1500,5k,steeple,and 10k came from drew tucker in the 800, app went 1,2,3 in the 100 and 1,3,4 in the 200. app didnt dominate the distance quite as much as they did indoors, but they didn't have to because western is no where near where they used to be back when they had manteo or fassinger/puitt.

Western picked up a few points in the Steeple Chase with Chase Fisher, which had a good race and finish but I have to say that it will be hard to beat App when they have a fully funded program and other schools like Western aren't fully funded. Samford may or may not be the same way, but it is pretty darn good that Western is doing what they are doing with the little money that they get. App should be winning with what they have. They can bring so much more talent in on so much more scholarship. Sprinters don't like running in college without money being given to them for free. I think distance runners will run harder with less money. Thats just my opnion though.

I don't know about the cultural norms in your rural Alabama, but normal people don't start college at age 16. Dont really know why you're congratulating hudgins, he has had a pretty poor senior year if you ask me. Didnt defend any of his crowns and hasnt prd in any event yet. But who knows, maybe he will make nationals after all. Good luck with that.
I'm not going to dispute that his senior year hasn't been as good as last year, it's just the fact he was even able to win a conference title in the first place that is remarkable.
