Agreed. At the same time, Denver benefitted from a "perfect storm" of ideal circumstances:
- First and foremost, there's no denying that Denver is one of the best teams in the league, although they didn't really look like it on the road at Milwaukee three days ago
- They were at home resting while the Lakers were playing the 8-1 Suns the night before
- It's never easy for the visitors to play in the mile-high altitude at Denver, let alone when they have a half-night's worth of sleep
- And yes, the Lakers were playing without one of the top ten forwards in the NBA, while the Nuggets were at full strength.
All that being said, great performance from George Karl's crew. Let's see if they can duplicate that in May without home-court advantage!
