Sammy Nyokaye 2:13 in Kiisumu , Victor Kipchirchir 2:07 winning Valencia, Duncan Mayo 2:09 in Eindhoven, Elisha Kipchirchir 2:10 winning Nice-Cannes, R.K Mengich 2:10 in his debut Eindhoven and 2:08 in Paris.
I’ll admit I’m even more skeptical of this, but I won’t call you a liar because I’ve learned over the years you just never know what someone else knows, has done or has in their pockets. While I’m doubtful, I’ll suspend disbelief, as I’ve been surprised more times than I can count to discover how much more accomplished someone is than I first thought.
Is there any way somebody could verify you coached those athletes? I’m not that fussed one way or another, as I’m considering my views on your approach based on what you say, not what you’ve done, so I’m mainly just curious.
I’ll admit I’m skeptical that you coached a 2:13 runner to 2:10, but if you did, big kudos to you.
I note you didn’t really answer directly about any of the three potential bases for differentiation so I’ll pose more specific questions to try to better understand your core principles.
1. You prefer coaching FT runners. But if you have an ST runner to coach (and I think this would be a majority of distance runners, and would at the least include the marathon runner you mentioned), do you approach their training differently in any way, and if so how?
2. Does your approach evolve or vary with experience and improvement in aerobic conditioning in any way, or do maintain the same balance of VO2max, LT and easy running regardless of experience?
3. Does your approach vary with target race distance? I really struggle to see any successful coach assign the same type of training to 800-1500 runners and marathon runners.
1) Well, I can of course still prove I did the coaching I tell. When I coach a ST runner compared to a FT runner there is basically no difference. Only what I told it's easier to incorporate the longer threshold reps and the easy steady runs to the ST runner.
2) Basically the same balance but the paces improve .
3) Basically the same approach but a middle distancer needs of course additional faster paces and the marathoner needs specific long runs .
🧙♂️
OK, that’s interesting, and a little outside the accepted mainstream views. In my own mind, it’s important when focussing on a specific race distance to have some amount of running faster than race pace, some close to race pace, some strong running slower than race pace and otherwise mostly genuinely easy running. But, when I think back to the training I did under the guidance of a very good coach, my training didn’t vary so much whether I was focussing on 800-1500 or 10k-HM. Marathon training did look a lot different for me; FT runners like myself ran almost nothing faster than M-pace in marathon prep. That said, my coach’s ST runners did have a lot of “faster” running with long reps somewhere between VV2max-LT, which I was not allowed to dabble in.
I’m personally still not finding much to criticize in what you’ve shared about your training approach. Not that I’m necessarily qualified to judge, being just an enthusiastic older amateur.

Bunch of lies. The only one of those you coached was Sammy Nyokaye. Who got minutes slower.
No lies. True everything I told. And I can still prove everything I told. 😉

Well, I can still prove every coaching case I have done. As I coach online every coaching thread with the athletes are saved.
The 'problem', especially with Africans( not all of them ), they tend to be very secretive about their training , who coach them, what management and so on....
Most of them run for the money and try to secure a good economic situation as possible for themselves and their closest people into the future.
A funny situation ( as I atleast think is funny 😉) was when I coached Mengich and he told me his management thought he was selfcoached because he had told them )) .He didn't want them to know he was coached by a freelancing coach online living in Sweden. I wrote some about my coaching of him in my social media and the manager contacted me to tell he was selfcoached and I was a liar and threatened me to delete what I had written about my coaching of him. I just told the truth and I could prove the coaching and we could meet in court if necessary. The manager never came back to me.....😉🤣

As we say "You must really have a big thumb to suck all those stories out of it"
You’ve got a real talent for bullsh#ting, I’ll give you that ;-)

You never coached Mengich. That is a fact.
Try to prove that statement! 🤣 I can still prove I did ))

Back to my training now. Yesterday I did an easy 60 min @ 7 min per km and it felt very easy done. Today I plan a lactate threshold interval again. Will report after how it went. 🧙♂️🇸🇪

It's hilarious. Each time you are confronted about your lies, you just brush them over or just move the conversation on. As if you haven't been caught up lying and literally never provide any evidence. Other than saying:
"I hAvE tHe EvIdEnCe". Then, radio silence. As if just saying those words, makes it true.
You are such a sociopath, it's possible you believe all your own lies that you cannot separate reality from fiction. You are a weird man and someone mentioned you were once a schoolteacher. Which is simply a terrifying prospect to me.......

Well, you have stalked me all 10 years I've been coaching and been here. Always the same claims from you I would lie.....
By the way you know very well by now I worked as a schoolteacher and not " someone mentioned...." 🤣
Tell me truly, do you really in all seriousness believe a sociopath can work as a schoolteacher in Sweden for 40 years without complaints from, colleagues, children, parents and school management? If you believe that , it says everything about you.😉

these guy's come to mind..
Dennis Rader, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Gary Ridgeway... So, it's possible ;-)
Lol)) You use to claim no one knows who I am in Kenya.... 😉
It took some time to become somewhat famous...but from what i was reading in de comments it's only because of your haircut? Wow, you must be very proud ;-)
