I followed Reiner for a long time during Trump’s first presidency. Every other post was TDS. Ironically, he never mentioned his son. Before this incident, I didn’t even know Reiner had a son.

It is not impossible at all. There are a lot of things he could have done different. Not frequented social circles where drug use was accepted / condoned. Raised the kids in a church, temple, synagogue, etc. with a moral dogma. Taught his kids the importance of human life. Advocating for abortion teaches one’s kids that a life can be taken at one’s convenience.

Great points. The only thing that distinguishes this particular case is the violence. Hollywood is loaded with Nepo baby drug addict fvck ups. Obviously it’s a toxic environment for children.

Apologists are quick to attribute this simply to mental illness, but this guy doesn’t have a history of violence with other people. He just hated his parents. It’s possible that Reiner just sucked at parenthood.
