Tomorrow, Aydon Stefanopoulos is racing the full mile and Landon Pretre and Ben Bouie are racing the 3K at the Saint Francis Invitational in Mountain View, CA.
Noonan just ran 8:46.92 which converts to 8:43.86 for 3200, or 0.74 seconds slower than his 3200 PR from the state meet last year. Looking forward to what he does as the season goes on and glad he figured out whatever issue was affecting him in the fall (hopefully mentioning fall isn't too cross country for this thread)

I think he had the flu. Glad he figured it out at the end of the year even if he could have done better than he did. Excited to see what all these guys do at Arcadia. Cali boys should do really well with Noonan and all the other top guys there(hopefully).
Looks like Griffen Kushen is opening his season tomorrow in the 3200 at Laguna Beach Trophy Invite, Dylan Jubak is entered too. I imagine they're both looking for 8:5X. Also interesting is that Kushen beat Jubak 4:14 to 4:19 at Tesoro's all comers six weeks ago, but Jubak has looked good so far this season (4:26 to close the 3200 at Redondo last weekend) while Kushen hasn't raced since (but apparently was not injured)

Nutritional deficiencies last fall. Fixed by eating more carbs.
Now, an 8:46-point opener . . . on what Dyestat has reported to be only 6 weeks of training following appendix surgery . . .

He wasn't really on my radar until he ran 8:49 or whatever as a sophomore, but it's insane how much of a talent Noonan is. Seems like basically everything that could have gone wrong this year went wrong, and he's still put together a fantastic XC/indoor season.
