Absolutely awful! Barely any sound, continued lag followed by sped up streaming that makes the announcers sound like The Chipmunks, constant buffering. The camera is much steadier than the Midwest broadcast though (eye roll).
NCAA Cross Country Mountain Regional Championships - presented by Real Player
I guess they still use dial-up internet in Reno
Amy Bunnage (Stanford) gets the West Region win, 2 seconds ahead of Oregon's Silan Ayyildiz. Maddy Elmore (Oregon) is third.
With about 100 runners in, Oregon comfortably gets the team win, and it looks like Stanford got the other auto. Washington and Gonzaga are the next two. No upsets it seems like.
And then they didn’t show the finish except for first place. “Turrible!”
looks like NAU women ran their full squad and BYU still beat them easily
Wow that's a pretty dominant showing by BYU Women to win while not racing one of your top scorers.
Do the west and mountain region results mean that the Harvard women get the last additional qualifier?

Yes but expect Baloga and Congdon to both finish further up with their teammates at nationals. The gap with the top 5 will be much smaller

Unless I missed something, looks like the only major upset to miss nationals was Furman. Boston College also missed from Northeast, but they were pretty low in rankings anyway.
Edit BC is in my bad

It's called tapering...
Fun fact: The Mountain Region race is taking place about 100 miles further west than the West Region race.

Oregon can contend with BYU ftw imo, four in the top 12 (5th 22nd 6th 31st) and that’s without Mia Barnett (18th Nutty 7th Big Ten) who’s their projected #3 as well as Wilma Nielsen (35th Nutty 21 big ten) as their projected #6/7.
