Your misogyny is showing. Putting the feelings of men performing as women over the legitimate rights of women, even if you do it out of ignorance, is still misogyny.
Why is that dude staying on the team? He's ruining for everyone. If he cared about anyone but himself he would quit.
Yeah, this guy is about as selfish as it gets. Ruining a season for opponents and teammates because he'd rather be a star player punching down on women than a below average player against other males. Its the height of narcissism

Yep.
Said it before and I'll say it again (and I'm a Democrat):
Trans women playing sports is the ULTIMATE male privilege. A man can literally say, "I'm a woman now," and play against and often beat up on women. And in some sports that is allowed without a challenge. Beyond allowed, it is sometimes defended and even heralded as brave.
That is male privilege on a level I can hardly comprehend.
Proof that men can do almost anything they want, whenever they want?

These college administrators are straight up evil. They tried to silence the girls and keep them quiet by telling them they didn't understand the "science". It would have been very easy for these girls to stay quiet and avoid the hassle. Lord knows I probably would have when I was their age. They are extremely brave to come out and tell the truth about their administration trying to force an evil agenda down their throats and silence them. Kudos to the Nevada volleyball team.
I’m glad these female athletes are standing up for their right to complete in the female category. Males with gender dysphoria not belong in the female category of sport.
Sport does not have a duty of care to support those suffering from gender dysphoria.
Sport has a duty to create a fair, safe space for females to compete against females. That’s the whole purpose for having a female category in sport.

+1,000
Well stated.
EDIT TO ADD:
But someone is going to cry, "But they ARE females."
Fine. Whatever. I won't argue the definition of gender as a man-made construct.
How about:
Sport has a duty to create a fair, safe space for XX humans to compete against XX humans. That’s the whole purpose for having an XX category in sport.
It's just that when the categories were created and named, nobody saw this absurdity coming and didn't know to define the categories by biological sex. If they saw this coming, they damn sure would have prevented it.
And before someone whines, "But not everyone is XY or XX," I'll say, for those very few people, we can figure out what is fair.

If you had a trans daughter, how do you persuade her not to play sports?
Do you try to steer her attention away from sports by enrolling her in a lot of non-sports activities?
Do you stop watching sports at home so that she would not develop any interest in sports?
If you are running in any hobby jogger races, do you stop doing it so that she would not be interested in joining you?
If you coach high school or youth sports, would you quit coaching?
If you have a cis daughter who is interested in sports, how do encourage her while discouraging her trans sister? Do you stop talking with her about her sports in front of her trans sister? How do you handle attending your cis daughter's games and practices?
What if your cis daughter says she would quit her sport if her trans sister is not allowed to play? How do you convince her not to quit?
What if your cis daughter says she will quit if her trans friend ins forced to quit? How do you convince her not to quit?

This is blatant intersexphobia.
Maybe you have zero sympathy for XY females like people with Swyer Syndrome and CAIS. But do you really want XX males to compete against women? There are more people with De La Chapelle Syndrome than people with Swyer Syndrome and CAIS combined.
XX male syndrome, also known as de la Chapelle syndrome, is a rare condition in which an individual with a 46,XX karyotype develops a male phenotype. Synonyms for XX male syndrome include 46,XX testicular difference of sex de...
Everyone is able to experience the benefits of sports. No one is banned. No one is forced to quit. He/she can participate in the sex category of his/her birth. Question for you: If you had a daughter who trained hard for a couple years to qualify for the state championships but is beaten easily by a boy who just started the sport this season, and she doesn't qualify, would tell her she just didn't train hard enough?

A boy who just started the sport this season should not be eligible in the girls' sports.
(I am assuming you are talking about high school sports, since you mentioned "state championships.)

I frequently see comments like yours, but it’s far more than saying “I’m a woman now” to compete as a transgender athlete in the NCAA. The requirement is two years of hormone treatments which is a significant commitment and can cause irreversible physical changes. No guy is going to go through that just because he wants to compete against women.
"And before someone whines, "But not everyone is XY or XX," I'll say, for those very few people, we can figure out what is fair."
And why can't we figure out what's fair for very few trans women who are eligible under the current NCAA policy?
There are close to 6,000 women who play Division 1 volleyball. Only ONE is known to be transgender. There are about 200,000 women who play in all sports in all three NCAA divisions. NCAA says there were 34 trans women among them in 2023-24. (Five of them were openly trans. One - this SJSU player - was outed against her will. We don't know the identity of other 28 athletes. Of the five open athletes, four were in D3 and one in D2.)
It happened this year in the Oregon state high school championships. There were 5 state champion boys in the girls track in the U.S. last spring. Girls were displaced on the podium by boys. Girls were displaced from the state championships by boys.

I don't think that sprinter in Oregon should have been eligible.
Out of the five state champions, only ONE of them would be eligible under the current World Athletics policy that I support.
