Tyynismaa was also an under the radar recruit. Her best high school year was 8th grade, but she kept plugging away thru the Alabama state meets, while struggling against illness and injury, but did not make any national meets.
At Alabama, her home State U, she refound her top form before moving to NC State.
She's an amazing talent. I would not be shocked if all of a sudden, she has some healthy training and great results as a pro too.
