There isn't a "close to the line" when it comes to being biologically male. You are or you aren't. Being "assigned female at birth" or "self definition" as female doesn't change XY chromosomes and having testes.
This is the most sane thing I have ever seen you type.
first of all. We all know you are a bigot. Those are the receipts. You are the JK Rowling of this board, using your gender as a means to hate.
I'll admit I was being sensational with with my statement. But I was talking about vs. the general population. First of all your study was limited to track, so those are "receipts". Secondly, stress suppresses testosterone. Third "close to" is not a definitive statement
"Top performing female athletes are more likely to have naturally occurring higher testosterone levels" I would guess that Olympic athletes are generally considered elite
"The researchers show that top female athletes are more likely to have higher testosterone levels and mild disorders, as well as more severe and rarer conditions that increase testosterone levels"
"Moreover, it has been demonstrated that women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are overrepresented in elite athletes."
The thing is that chromosomal and intersex conditions are super common, like above 1%. You just wouldn't know because when you meet a woman with XY chromosomes or internal testes (which you definitely have, statistically speaking) they just seem like a woman. Most of the time they don't even know. Some of them are better at sports and some of them aren't. Almost none of them are head and shoulders above their competitors like it would be if an actual man was going against a woman. Literally all common sense says they are woman, but gender idealogue freaks want to redefine common sense because they're mentally ill and can't watch women sports without worrying that they're secretly men or whatever

LOL. Look at the DSD athletes that we have seen. They are clearly men. Don't give me this BS that we can't tell. If we couldn't tell, then we wouldn't be pointing it out on here when it happens!

A woman doesn't have XY chromosomes and testes. That is a male - whether they identify as female or not. It's a likely indicator when they also punch like a man. (There was a study referred to on these boards a few years ago that showed the weakest males could hit harder than the strongest females).
There's literally a ton of dsd athletes who you don't know about, statistically speaking, probably because most of them are mediocre athletes. Like I'm not out here being a trans activist or whatever but the trans movement has literally made people so psychotic they're just accusing people who have competing in woman athletics their whole life that now they are men
That's just not true though. Having XY chromosomes doesn't make you a man when you're talking about genetic conditions like this. Your argument works against trans athletes but not dsd. What about people with three sex chromosomes? I guess their neither men nor women but some third thing?
Also does she even have XY chromosomes or is that just made up. Looks like her recent issue with eligibility was due to elevated testosterone
This has been one of the more bizarre and frustrating olympic controversies in recent times.
I fist heard about it through reliable source JK Rowling who posted a picture of the two boxers and said something like the "smirk of a man who shattered a woman's dreams". At that point I already knew no trans women were at this Olympics, so I was a bit taken aback and assumed DSD.
But there was no mention of DSD, because the left just ran with it. Suddenly posting their smug responses saying she was just a "stronger woman" she had "failed a testosterone test" and comparing her advantages to Phelps' wingspan.
The right however, did not seem to notice that the left was doing this as Riley Gaines and others ran with the "man punching a woman" narrative and posting "I stand with Angela". The left was already busy portraying Angela as a weakling, sore loser, entitled white woman, and at that point discovered she was a cop.
The right finally conceded that Imane was not a trans woman. It had still never been confirmed whether or not Imane was DSD/Intersex. The left still was claiming she was just a strong woman and nothing more. Finally, the right clasped onto the intersex/DSD test that she failed. But where did this test come from? Why was she once disqualified, and now allowed to compete?
Then suddenly it comes out that Angela Cabrini never had a problem with Khalif, and that her crying was just her being emotional?? And she apologizes????
And after days of sifting, it was finally revealed that the test was shady and no one could verify even what test it was. So all this craziness around this athlete has been based on one girls' tears, a shady test, and JK Rowling.
if this test was doctored, I can't imagine how Imane Khalif is feeling right now. Can you f**king imagine?? A doctored test, that you know is false but can't prove and JK offing Rowling decides to turn the universe against you, because one competitor couldn't handle losing like an adult???
She is from Algeria. It's illegal to be gay or trans there. What is it going to be like when she gets home? Did JK Rowling just put her life in danger??
I am someone who firmly believes that trans and intersex women have an unfair advantage against cis women. But this is not the way to go about making your point. It's horrifying cruelty based on shoddy evidence. It's a snap judgement, dehumanizing someone you don't know and it's truly grotesque.

DSD male athletes have XY chromosomes, like Semenya. Those DSD athletes who aren't male don't matter for the purpose of this discussion.

The IOC has conducted no tests to determine whether the Algerian athlete is DSD. So it cannot be definitively claimed they are female. The boxing commission indicated the athlete's levels of testosterone didn't fit the female range, so they were banned. However the exact data from the test hasn't been provided.
Studies of male and female punching power (referred to previously on these boards) showed the weakest of random male subjects had more power than the strongest women. That is one of the more glaring differences between men and women. If a male was competing as a female in the sport that differential would show. The Italian boxer says she knew within two punches she had never been hit like that by a woman and feared for her health, and so conceded the fight.
The responsibility of the IOC must be to conduct full sex determinant tests on the Algerian boxer. No mere assurances from the boxer, their team or the Algerian government, that the athlete is "female" can suffice. The credibility of the competition is at stake - not to mention other competitors' health.

Don't get your facts from activists on twitter. The true figure is 0.018%. The 1.7% figure came from an author who has since said that figure was 'tongue in cheek'.
And there we have it. IOC confirm on their twitter that this IS a DSD case. In which case this is yet another male with 5ARD muscling in on women's sport.

Anne Fausto-Sterling s suggestion that the prevalence of intersex might be as high as 1.7% has attracted wide attention in both the scholarly press and the popular media. Many reviewers are not aware that this figure includes...
