We have merged two threads into 1 as we like to have 1 thread per topic. We don't need a thread on how she's running the 10,000 and then another on how she did. Here is a video of her on the final lap:
Did Carter Solomon, who ran in the same meet, get a standing ovation for running 30:18. Performance wise, it was identical to Tuohy’s effort.
Does Carter Solomon run for NC State? It was a home meet for NC State and that’s probably why a standing ovation for Tuohy who is like a legend there at this point.
According to “Chrome”, it seems to happen everywhere. 32:56 would seem to warrant polite applause from a sitting position, but I wasn’t at the meet.

Times are irrelevant at meets like these. It’s scoring points for your team and also saving your energy for the next event you’re running. That’s the priority.

Right, and this thread is probably the first one ever in response to someone cruising through a low key meet.
To see the handful of jealous haters flailing like this is amusing. There was no possible chance she would try to run a fast 10000 a week after setting the 5000m record, and this was a super easy effort. So of course the trolls would go for the "slow" time angle. They are grasping at straws at this point.
As to what other runners do or seem to do, who cares?
There is a simple solution for that. Just ignore the Tuohy related threads. No one is forcing you to read them. Invest energy in supporting the athletes that you like. Start a thread supporting them.
Of course Anger Management therapy could be another option to look into.
Assuming that's because Parker Valby didn't race (wink, wink).
Seriously, I'm guessing Chelangat and Olemomoi didn't enter the 10,000m as they already had good qualifiers for NCAA regionals at this distance. Seeing all three though are listed for the 5,000m race
