And Britton Wilson almost went down with only 200m to go. What a wild ride

Just got back from a 12-hour track meet and looked at SEC results (only looked at the 400 all day). Yelled very loudly several times. Here are my thoughts for anyone reviewing this thread.

1. LAUREN GREGORY. HOLY SH*T. What an athlete.

2. TALITHA DIGGS. American record of 50.15!!!! at 20. What will she run next?

3. Favour Ofilli with a fantastic title. Anyone know what happened to diggs? Just fatigue from the 400?

4. I need to watch the W 800. Seems like a great battle between Wilson and Rose.

5. Masai Russel - So consistent. Just off her own CR.

6. What on EARTH happened in the women's 4x400?

7. Favour Ashe - 6.52 is nice.

8. Mens 200 - Where do I even start? What a storyline. Great win and time for Jacory Patterson, nice silver for boling, not an incredible time but hopefully hes just on a different training schedule to peak later, and Tarsis Orogot - what a fantastic runner, still a great bronze after his 20.20 earlier this season. This was his first year at bama, right? Anyone know where he transfered from?

9. Mens 400. Wow. I don't think I've ever seen a race this deep before. Elija Godwin. Need I say more? Also, Florida is going to break that College record again in the outdoors. Maybe bama too. Could we see multiple sub-44s this outdoor season? Is that crazy to say?

10. WILL MF SUMNER. HOW HASN'T THERE BEEN MORE NOISE ABOUT THIS. SEC TITLE AS A FRESHMAN. THIS GUY IS INCREDIBLE. Far and away my favorite part of the meet. I've been rooting for this guy since last year.

11. Dylan Jacobs - GREAT win. DMR title with a great anchor and now the 3k title too.

12. Anyone know what happened to Florida in the 4x400? That was a shame to see on the results. Also unfortunate Bama, Florida, and Georgia couldn't be in the same section. Would have been an incredible battle. Good job to Bama either way. Incredible to see them run 3:01 with NO BAILEY. 44.64 for Orogot - I didn't expect that at all and I'm really, really impressed. Does he also do the 100 or the 400? With a split like that he should probably look at the 400.

Great meet. I liked Godwin in the 400 and Sumner in the 800.

Athlete with the baton tripped and face-planted as she was trying to make the exchange. Don’t remember which leg.

The video doesn't do it justice. Women's 4x4s were bizarre. Guys too. Hammys, batons, and elbows flying everywhere.

Patterson led off for FL and pulled up with a hammy. Lang from Ark was knocked off the track by the A&M runner. Neither team made it to the handoff.

Womens 4x4 had lots of problems as well. Teams got tripped. Batons were knocked out of hands. Ark women were almost knocked down on more than one occasion but stayed upright for the win.

Sumner is not the first freshman to win the SEC title. Brandon Miller did it his freshman year. While Sumner is a complete stud he has alot to do before he can crack that upper echelon of NCAA 800 running. I don't even think he is going to nationals in the 800 because of how deep the field is. Him and Cade Flatt are good prospects for outdoor tho
