I’ll be honest, I’m kinda gutted for him. This was a dramatic turn of events. It was amazing watching his race unfold and then to see him coming up limping after the anticipation of where he was.

Walmsley out of the aid station and running. He looks like he is somewhat recovered. That would imply that the issue was not injury but more likely gastro.

Would have been far better to have watched Jim fulfil his potential. He'd just about be finished by now if he hadn't hit whatever wall it was. He must be gutted. Next year ...

I'm no fan boy either but he was looking really comfortable until the wheels fell off. Of course even 3rd is a great result but it's clear he has a lot more potential.
