Jakob might be better at the 5k
he ran a very smart race.
but but, they said jakob doesn't have a kick.
Very happy for Luis. I’m a 🇬🇹->🇺🇸 man and it makes me glad to see another one do well in a sport where your home country is all but unseen.

No he's not.

Fing Mo stepped on Fisher!
Nope, no contact. He just lost his balance
Grant stepped on the rail. Just like he did in high school at the armory where he just missed breaking 4 minutes.
JAKOB IS A BAD MAN!!!!! And he's only 21!!!!

What an anti-climactic race. Disappointed. Ethiopian men shut out again.
Krop knew what he was doing. That race was all about raw speed and positioning.
What's wrong with Scott? He was so good indoors.
Really solid by Ingrebetson. Thought Ahmed had a medal, and then thought Grijalva might sneak in for bronze. Fisher was in position; hought he as gonna hang on longer down the home stretch. The mid-race slowdown worked to Jakob's advantage - I think.

Aregawi would have won this by a hot minute boys.
What happened to him, anyway? How come he's not there?
As soon as he went for water I thought "He's going to win this!!" Supreme confidence and belief in himself. Farah did the same when he KNEW he was going to win.
I love this guy.

Grant had a medal til Ahmed. Unreal. So freaking upsetting
Lol. Blame it on the Black man! Fisher hit the rail because he hasn't learned how to naviagte a track. Ahmed never touched him!
One of the best 5k's ever!!!

Maybe but man Fisher just does not put himself in a good position. He’s always right along the rail and gets boxed in constantly.
I would agree normally, but I thought he was in great position today. If Ahmed doesn’t pull his classic shenanigans Fisher is on the podium. Fisher ram a great race.
And just like the 10k, Fisher with terrible positioning that cost him a medal. Does he think someone will just give him room on the inside?

Probably that. Its tough to maintain peak shape for months on end. Most athletes will base train through indoors and get into race shape by early summer.
Hug the rail. It's the shortest distance to .... crashing out.
