How much distance was there between KT and Gear when Tuohy got the hand off? Because the time estimates of the gap in here range from 2.5 to 5 seconds.
Flo does not seem keen to remove the race from behind its paywell. Do I risk another recurring charge?

Splits are completely irrelevant to a relay record. Only the finishing time matters.
Splits are just interesting data for fans, but nothing to do with the actual record.
exactly, i just wanna now what katelyn tuohy ran and how much gap she closed, and the OFFICIAL splits of all runners also because ALL RACES had splits even the 4xmile and yet why nothing for the women's 4x1500m
All the other relays, including the high school races, have posted splits. So the splits were supposed to be calculated. However the race started 15 minutes early. Maybe they missed it.
In retrospect NC State should have had Bush run 3rd and tuohy should have waited and drafted off Greer until the final turn,... But it's always easy in retrospect to make such critiques...

uh ?? amazing run by both teams but og my gosh, it was so clear that tuohy slowed down at the final 3-5 meters when she realized she could not track gear down and yet she was able to break 4:10 !!??? she's a 5000m runner yea but she can totally win titles as a miler with that speed!
I said that initially about waiting and drafting off of Gear before kicking late. In these type of races the final kick has to ring home. But it is possible that this was the game plan, to try to get a gap before the final turn.
What are you guys think would have happened if 2e just stayed right behind Greer until the final turn?
It probably would have been a little bit slower, but not by much, greer might have still won but it would have been a great last 100 m

She did not appear injured at the finish, maybe disappointment, maybe her family was there, who knows. BTW it is Krissy Gear. I still wonder about where those splits were taken as the one clear point was at the 3000 m (200 m) start) and both schools were above the sum of those reported 1st and 2nd leg splits. But all of the passes took place early in the zones, at least that is how it looked to me.

No, the gap was about 2 seconds. Arkansas won by 1 second. The splits show Tuohy was 1 second faster than Gear. That math works.
not 4 .. but it wasnt 2 also.. it was at 3-ish!!!!
unless you were there you cannot possibly know that as the video does not show Tuohy receiving the baton, nor is she in the picture when Gear received the baton. Someone who was there posted they agreed on 2 seconds.
