But seriously, she looks fine, and I look forward to what she can accomplish outdoors. People in college are allowed to grow as people figuratively and literally.

The two women who actually won the races. I was also rooting for Tuohy to win both races and hope she wins a championship come June.

I recall when she was in 8th grade and 9th grade she kept getting 2nd in NY championships to upperclassmen like Sammy Watson and Jessica Lawson. Then she started taking running more seriously.

What NCA&T has been doing the last few years is amazing never thought I'd see this from an HBCU.

I was very impressed with the devastating moves made by Micaela Degenero (2:04/4:09/4:33/19:50 xc) in the mile and Taylor Roe (2:08/4:14/8:58/20:06 xc) in the 3k to put away their races. Roe held on against an impressive effort to close the gap by Tuohy and Gregory, while Degenero just put her race out of reach by 1.5 seconds.

Those were both really impressive races — I’d written off Roe with 150 to go but she ran an incredible last 100m. That was awesome.

Both just blasting away was really fun to watch.

There was no comment on her weight...just it's distribution.

I vote she goes to New Balance, if only from a sartorial perspective.

Dunno anything about her family history, but her name always sounded Finnish to me, "Two--oh--ee." Finland in Finnish is Suomi, pronounced "Sue-oh-me."

Last 400 in 63.5. I wonder if she has ever gone sub-60.

Next year Roe will have phenom Natalie Cook as a teammate. That will be an incredible 1-2.

Always nice to see a Michigan runner so well. I credit Devenero’s success to her years with Mike Macguire who develops his athletes for long term success. Makes sense that it would all come together in year 6.

That fall at the end of the men’s 60m Hurdles was bad, but I saw a worse one at the 1987 World Indoor Championships in Indianapolis

Pretty certain DeGenero never ran within 7 seconds of her high school PR while at Michigan. I wouldn't give the Michigan coach too much credit for her success. Killer finish though, and you gotta love the quote "If you're going to make a move, you have to slam the door".
