I plan to spend next to no time on this thread but thank god that the vaccine threads have been consolidated... the front page is already breather a sigh of relief.
This thread was deleted by a volunteer moderator. I certainly don't want a thread this big deleted so I've restored. THat being said, this thread has served it's purpose. I've closed it to new posts.
We have a new 2024 vaccine thread here. New people don't need to try to wade through 20,000 posts to figure out what is going on.

AFTER ACTION REPORT.
Since the official early treatment for covid is "Go home and come back if you can't breathe" I wanted LetsRunners to know what I did and what worked for me.
I showed symptoms of Omicron on Sunday (Day 1) after exposure two days earlier. Here is my report and what seemed to work best. The first symptoms were congestion, scratchy throat, sinus drainage, achiness, and a fever. I'm 74 and unvaccinated so I'm in the high-risk category. Fever was about 2.0 degrees above normal. I took the following supplements, as recommended by the FLCCC. I was already taking D, zinc, and Quercetin.
Vitamin D: 20,000 IU/day until symptoms stop
Quercetin: 2 capsules/day
Zinc
Melatonin
Nigella Sativa
Gargle with recommended mouthwash
Povidone-iodine diluted 1% solution nasal spray
Pepcid AC (famotidine)
Cytokine Suppress
Lauricidin
Started on Day 4... NyQuil and Tylenol
Day 2. I added aspirin for fever and pseudoephedrine for sinus drainage. The Pseudo helps. The aspirin didn't reduce the fever. A flu-ish brain fog became omnipresent... just hard to think.
Day 4. Fatigue. Fever increased to spikes of 3.0 above normal. The sore throat was so bad I had trouble swallowing. I stopped taking aspirin/pseudoephedrine and added NyQuil and Tylenol. NyQuil helped A LOT and the sore throat was better in a few hours. With 20/20 hindsight, I wish I had started the NyQuil sooner. Fever spikes were only 2.5 degrees so the Tylenol seemed to help as well.
Day 6. Feeling better. Brain fog was gone. I tried an easy two-mile hike, but I bonked and struggled to walk back. Fever is only 1 degree, but it still fluctuates a full degree every hour or so. Coughing spasm for a while, but DayQuil stopped it quickly.
WHAT WORKED FOR ME. Definitely, the NyQuil and DayQuil were huge. I strongly recommend DayQuil at the first sign of Omicron. The sore throat was so bad I was considering an Urgent Care Clinic visit for an antibiotic. Tylenol seemed to reduce the fever by one degree or so.
My wife has been far less cautious in spite of my constant admonition to stay out of my room and has broken my self-isolation a dozen times. If she doesn't get infected, the gargling and povidone-iodine nasal spray probably was a key reason because they reduce the level of covid in the nose and throat so it's not as easy to spread. Of all the alternative therapeutics, the gargling and povidone-iodine nose drops make the most sense... kill the virus where it grows and multiplies. (I'll explain how to make it if anyone wants to know.)
I keep an industrial-level air purifier in my room so that might be a factor in clearing the air as well.
Bottom line is that Omicron hit me harder than I anticipated. I thought it would be over in a couple of days. Then again, it could be that my body is still recovering from the stress of prostate surgery four weeks earlier. If anyone has questions, I'll try to answer them.

It's a New Year and it's time to consolidate some of the covid threads. We've deleted hundreds of them but it just makes more sense to be official about consolidation. So this thread is for anything related to the Covid vaccine. If you start other threads related to the vaccine they will be deleted or merged with this one. If there is a reason you believe something deserves it's own thread, please email before starting the thread. And use the "report a post" function to report objectionable posts or posts where people insult one another.FYI: Also a reminder that none of the Covid threads on letsrun are indexed by google.
I suggested doing this months ago!
Take responsibility for not moderating the forum while it was going to $h!t.
Also, I should point out that it was Wejo, the more sensible one, who finally made this thread, while Rojo was speculating about Frank Shorter masturbating in a porta potty.
In the ultimate anti-science act of hypocrisy, symptomatic vaccinated COVID positive hospital workers are being sent back to work in places with vaccine mandates.

These people are so far lost from reality that you just need to laugh at them at this point. It’s like a SNL skit in real time. Sad their minds have been infected with Faucis potion and Trumps vaccine.

I’m 32 and double vaccinated. Here’s what worked for me when I experienced my breakthrough infection. Dayquil and NyQuil and I went to work(from home) and was running within a week.
End mass jabs and live with Covid, says ex-head of vaccine taskforce
Dr Clive Dix says we should treat the virus like flu
Covid should be treated as an endemic virus similar to flu, and ministers should end mass-vaccination after the booster campaign, the former chairman of the UK’s vaccine taskforce has said.
With health chiefs and senior Tories also lobbying for a post-pandemic plan for a straining NHS, Dr Clive Dix called for a major rethink of the UK’s Covid strategy, in effect reversing the approach of the past two years and returning to a “new normality”.
“We need to analyse whether we use the current booster campaign to ensure the vulnerable are protected, if this is seen to be necessary,” he said. “Mass population-based vaccination in the UK should now end.”
Everyone anyone ever quotes on here are us Brits,is this your way of saying we are far ahead of the US in terms of science and sensibleness?

Steve Kirsch said on Brett Weinsteins podcast the vaccine was causing fetuses to ‘split apart’..he said this months ago. He’s part of IDK Robert Malone anti vax squad. So a lot of bias there.

it's a 145 country study that Steve had nothing to do with, dumb@ss
This post was removed.
What's the point of having this thread if you are going to let other threads about the vaccine stand? Remember how once you started your "one and only one Mike Rossi thread," any other thread about the guy was deleted within 3 seconds? Can we do the same thing with COVID vaccine threads?

The butt hurt is real in this thread. Continue on with your ivermectin and gargling of iodine or whatever the fvck you people are doing.
Your vaccine is a failure. Everybody who isn't a vaxxtard is coming to that realization.
145 countries, brainlet. 145 countries. Try to deny it all you want lol
