Is weed really performance enhancing? Why is it even on the banned list?
Its a masking agent.
I’m more upset that it’s trending in America and every large media outlet that doesn’t know or ever talk about T&F are the ones you see trending and LR is no where to be seen.
Great cookie jar story....your dad was a bit nuts....but so was my dad.
You should have claimed you thought it was 8:59, or the Richardson rule...It shouldn't be illegal.

Her mother died close up to the trials. It must have been a major emotional stress for her. Please don't be so hard on her.
No. She found out close to the trials.
Clearly part of a larger cannabis doping network, see Colleen Quigley's confession: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CQzYuKnHx3I/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Good news is that World Athletics can allow her to run via invitation to the Olympics.
It should be banned just for the abhorrent smell alone. The sheer funk and rancid smell is disgusting.

The quality of posts that whine about pot being on the list is, predictably, lower than whale shlt.
It definitely hasn’t enhanced posting performance in this thread, that’s for sure.
Anyone who thinks that she isn’t using is just as big a moran as she is. This is just more evidence, in this case of the specific capacity for negligence, willful blindness, or intent to contravene the rules on what substances are introduced into her body.
The t&f clown show continues. Yesterday’s news stories: a guy running a WR in his first run of the season, two more guys competing as girls, and an orange-wigged pot-head busted at trials.
It’s WWE on steroids. Literally.
Lol, what a complete dumba$$ you are. It's beyond comical that you consider yourself a bright guy.
1. That she got busted smoking weed, a legal drug similar to having a glass of wine that does not enhance performance, in no way, shape, or form is "evidence" that she is using actual PED's. In fact, the fact that she was careless with her weed smoking, would offer evidence that such a careless person WOULD get caught if using actual PED's, which she has not. I am not saying i feel confident she is clean of PED's, but getting caught smoking weed in no way is evidence that she is an actual PED user. And soooo sorry her hair color offends you, you loser.
2. Warholm has been near the WR before. You don't need tons of races to be in peak form. Super spikes also likely helped too.
3. Intersex is a thing. Apparently moreso in certain nations. People will compete in the group they feel they belong, and yes, some will compete where they think they can win. Either way, the system worked and they got removed from 400. Unfortunate it didn't apply to 200 also, but...... yes, it's not an easy, but a messy problem.
If you think T&F is a total clown show, don't follow it and do everyone a favor and don't comment here!

Laws against weed are a byproduct of actual systemic racism. It's the most overrated drug out there, anyway.
This is not accurate. Weed is the one subject that unites America. Everyone smokes - whites, blacks, young, old, Republicans, Democrats. Bikers, ball players. It’s the only drug that has been decriminalized.
Everyone in America do not smoke weed. I am in America and none of my family nor friends smoke it.

Unbeflippinglievable. Smoking weed as the best 100m runner in the world in an Olympic year. Just pathetic, totally pathetic.
Second best. The bodybuilder from Jamaica is still #1.
But she was set to dethrone the body builder from Jamaica - hence why the story broke in the Jamaican paper.
- Weed is banned and she's getting shelved unfortunately.
The only exception is if she has had a therapeutic use exception. USADA does not declare this actually performance enhancing or even a masking agent but they consider it harmful to health (:they modulate mood, movement, appetite, pain and sensation, memory, and perception.").
This is a seriously gray area because Weed is legal in many states in the use but not in other countries. Considering it's not a PED or SPED (masking drug), who is in the right?
Statement from USATF

Al Capone got busted for money laundering. Contador for a laughable trace of salbutanol. Armstrong because his team mates weren't getting a cut anymore. Sha'carri was threatening Flo-Jo times and was coached by DENNIS MITCHELL. I mean, google they guy, he's a walking syringe. Even his wife tested positive for nandrolone (Burrito TC in shambles). Richardson trains with his other protege, Tyson Gay, also a convicted doper. Gay claimed he saw Sha'carri crack 10.5 in training.
They got her on pot. Her biological passport was probably extremely suspicious. She probably skipped tests. Her times are supernatural and her coach is the dirtiest in the sport. This cannabis positive is Wada catching Al Capone on tax evasion. BroJos making a petition for clean athletes to rennounce to the Olympics in favor of Sha'carri is one of the lowest points in this forum's history...and that's saying a lot.
It’s a thought situation. However, it’s a false statement to claim that it is a legal drug. Not at the federal level and something that is tested for. She should have known better.
Same with Shelby, even if it’s a stupid rule. They all have to be enforced the same.
She knew the risks prior to use and now has to pay the consequences. It doesn’t get much simpler than that.
Rules are rules- Marijuana is legal in Colorado but it is forbidden at the hospital I work for, I am drug tested randomly and it is my responsibility to abide by the rules, Therefore, if I choose to smoke marijuana because it is legal, I choose to lose my job. If it is illegal per USATF , then it is illegal.

Lol, USATF claims to care about athlete health and well being yet decides to go forward with a track meet in 110 degree temperatures. Sure whatever.
Fair play to the Jamaican journalists for breaking the story. USADA might have kept it confidential otherwise
From a pure PR standpoint this is probably a better outcome than the much ballyhooed 10 second showdown in Tokyo because SR would have been beat like a drum.
Now she and the fans can just say the system denied her the win.
