Of course I don't know what's going to happen but I predict Mueller will be fired. Signs indicate that we are headed that way.
I don't think congress will do anything about it either. Congress has a chance to pass legislation protecting Mueller but they don't. Despite what they say, look at what they do. It speaks volumes.

I agree. A few Republicans have defended Mueller, but only a few. Mueller will be fired. But I am not certain how many people will regard this to be a crisis. Dorothy Thompson interviewed Berliners shortly after the Reichstag fire in 1933 and only three in a dozen were concerned. I think Americans are by in large similarly unconcerned to demand that such a turn of events be regarded as a crisis. Those of us who see this as a grave situation are too few in number. We already have ample evidence that the bitterest foe the United States has ever faced has been messing with the fabric of our Democracy, and Congress could not even sustain an investigation. They studied the Benghazi matter with greater zeal. Absolutely beyond belief. All those Americans, Democrats and Republicans, who endeavored to protect the U.S. against the Soviets during the Cold War ... and we and we can’t even get a plurality of Congressmen concerned about what Russia is trying to do now? Perfidy doesn’t begin to define this situation.

This is true, and important to point out. However, it is sobering to consider that it is likely only a few minor players will face the music for such a massive con. Just as with Watergate and Iran-Contra, the big fish will swim on. Worse, they will not only swim on they will shed their scales and grow new ones—they will be rehabilitated as Nixon was. And even this is not the worst of it—the fact of petty conmen like Trump and Kushner going free—no, the worst part is that nothing will be learned institutionally about how a government should function and what a democracy should strive for. We will still rally around simplistic calls for “greatness” without any meaningful discourse about what that means. We will talk about “liberty” from vastly different positions with little concern or curiosity about how the concept looks from the other chap’s perspective. Will be chasing the wild statements of those who yell the loudest and act the most outrageous and never discuss what equity in earning power really means, what looking out for those less fortunate really means. Flynn will get off. The others have committed crimes that have nothing to do with Russian collusion. Muller is fishing. This is why this must end. There is not even a crime being investigated. Mueller's special counsel was appropriate, and he is getting crazy lose to Trump, and Trump knows it. Trump's tweets this weekend show a man who is very afraid and backed into a corner.
If he were to fire Rosenstein and get someone in there who would then fire Mueller, that person could be charged with Obstruction of Justice. Anyone would be a FOOL now to fire Mueller. I'm not saying Trump won't find someone to do that, but that person would be a fool.
When Trey Gowdy tells Trump's lawyer that if his client is innocent he should act like it, then the very far right has smelled the coffee. Jeff Flake has said that privately his Republican colleagues have said they would not put up with Mueller being fired, and Lindsay Graham has said it would be the beginning of the end of Trump's presidency.
The corruption lies with Trump and his administration and anyone who defends him.
