Mark Hewlett has chosen to remain quiet so far like some of the other people. I will need to see if he wants to say something now with so much in the open.
There are two things about these scammers that stand out to me. Firstly they are never members of proper running clubs where their utter bullshit would be easily apparent. Secondly they purport to be doing it all for charity but never seem to raise any significant sums. £1200, people raise more than that doing a 10k. There are people who made more from sitting in a bath of beans. It's all so obviously there to distract from reality and allow the "how dare you question him, he's doing it for the children/veterans/homeless" defence.
With the Virgin/support me type online pages it's recorded how much is donated so hard to scam, I haven't audited things as closely as others but it seems these are the amounts fessed up to and passed on by the Duplicitous Duo.
I'm guessing the cash donated by Mattressman can't be checked, Terrie probably didn't keep receipts for what the money was spent on otherwise she'd be shouting about it from the rooftops, she'll just say it went on expenses. Mattressman can take some of the blame, they should of said we want receipts for how the money is spent, then again I suppose they trusted them, big mistake, seems they're not the only ones to have been sucked in and conned though.
Of course, no one will ever know how much was thrown in the buckets, etc in form of cash.

I think Dave is misunderstood. He's planning on doing his next run to campaign against cyber bullying. Some people have questioned this stance but I think it is genuine. Not because Dave is anti bullying per se, more because he seems like a traditionalist who likes his bullying face to face with menace.

Which is what makes me wonder why Joe stayed so long. He states right from the beginning that DR was aggressive, raging and unstable and yet he continued to be their support driver right to the end, so one can not help but ask why? If he was getting no perks and not getting paid why not just walk away when he felt some thing was not right, which by Joe's account was right at the very beginning. I find this odd. Nothing would make me want to continue to support some one for free if I was treated like that unless I was getting paid a lot of money.
Basically good and helpful people get used like this all the time.

Agreed...reading between the lines it would appear to me that perhaps he thought he was doing a good deed for a charity that he supported and therefore put up with the diva behaviour of DR. Look at this from the outside that would appear to be the best fit for the facts as I understand them to be.
I think that the Reading's are backing themselves into a very tight spot at the moment. Publicly blaming those who supported you during the *cough cough* charity fundraising event is a risky tactic that may well back fire on them.

That's because Joe isn't as innocent as he makes out. Nor is his wife, a right old cow called Jules Woodley. She's a nasty piece of work, and i fully believe both her and Joe were aware of a scam to start with and were getting a cut of the money.
So now Joe is being hailed as some kind of hero. Let's not lose sight of the fact he never liked Dave, yet stayed supporting him.
People just don't do that for fun. Both him and his wife were following the money
Of course there is always going to be an excuse for any one who has the same opinion as you. But that's not really a good enough one is it. The driver was perfectly happy right up to the last minute. He even tried to help get sponsorship for them. Not to mention the free £50 sleeping bag he got after going into a camping store and talking to the manager telling him all about what we were doing and walking out with a free sleeping bag, lol no perks, didn't want or need them. And there is more so much more, not so incocent.

This is exactly why our supporters do not comment, it may look like we don't have many but only because they don't want the trolling coming to them, so I don't blame them. However I have had many good messages over the last few weeks, it really is terrible any one who sticks up for Dave gets bullied, doesn't matter what we say or do. Or what evidence we have. If that's not bulling/trolling I don't know what is. I have plenty of evidence which contradicts what Our driver has said but what's the point in putting it on here? None.
