Hello, back to training after losing 4 months to a foot injury (that was, of course, precipitated by a tight peroneal tendon area). just turned 59 last month

wed 6.21 8:32 avg
tues 5.62 easy
mon 5.02 easy
while I had the foot injury, did indoor cycling to keep up cardio and focused on losing weight. Lost about 10 lbs that I was carrying and dint need (165 to 154 now). I think it put my cardio a bit ahead of my legs at the moment. Legs were a little sore this week, and so my faster runs were a little slower than I was shooting for. My Garmin is telling me my cardio and HRV are in a good place, so I think I’m pushing my legs a bit more than I should. First half marathon in two months to see how things go. Start doing some VO2 max stuff next week, have a work trip the next week which will throw things off just a bit.
goal for 2025: quality workouts with better emphasis on recovery so that I don’t burn my old body out!
