Are you suggesting that it's not backward looking? You need to educate yourself. By definition, it uses data from the past 10 years.

Question for Iggy:

If you are such a market genius, why have you missed out on the great ride up so far? Even if the market does crash at some point, you have missed so much upside and dividend reinvestment that investing after even a 20% crash will leave you worse off than if you had been steadily investing and reinvesting all long. You will "jump back in" at levels that are still so much higher than what you could have invested at years ago.

Why is that so hard to understand? Your ignorance is frustrating. i just want to help you avoid bankruptcy when the margin calls pile in.

this is unusual, no? anecdotally, I remember volatility around the start of earnings season. but not this quarter. Calm as humprey bogart.

Does that mean earnings are solid? or that people have become complacent?

CAPE 10 is projecting rather bleak equity over the next ten years. And I am suggesting your ignorance.

Another non-GAAP “beat” fueled by stock buybacks and financial engineering. Use GAAP accounting and take out stock buybacks another “sucky” quarter for IBM.
