ok, fine. enough with the philosopy talk. Just lose 20 lbs. and then you will prove it to yourself and the world. Get busy; the clock is ticking.

It will come from that philosophy talk, you can just go straight and get it.It takes some specificity of science and philosophy right! That means get real for sure.

Henry: I was looking through the NCAA Track Championship results and was surprised that you got 2nd to James Munyala, from UTEP, in 1977 in Champaign, Illinois. Not that, that is anything bad, James had a great string of wins in the steeple in the mid 70s; as Malmo, no doubt remembers; but beating "you" seems a little surprising. Do you remember that race? It was 8:30 to 8:32; you were 2nd.
Does anyone have any race footage of Henry or possibly any posters they would be willing to part with/sell?

Munyala was the clear favorite over Henry in 1977.

Why?
Because it wasn't yet 1978

Go back a little in 1976 before Montreal Olympics I had hard time qualifying for Olympics because I was running most of the time between 8:32-8:40 and the qualifications for Olympics or they wanted me to run 8:29.I try anything to get 8:29 and finally I was the last person to be entered in Olympic team in 1976.
By the time I'm running with James in NCAA meets,I was still in that mode of running 8:30s most of the time. Munyala was making fun of me in the meets untill the day it click in 1978 came to world records and Munyala become my little boy. I became a big man and I starded changing the tables around.

do you (as a masters runner), feel yourself heading toward that magic moment down the road here, where it "clicks" again? I think the day you reach a weight of 155 lbs. it will launch you to another level! I can't wait!

You really say something that I was telling my mind a while ago that,It seems my running has something to do with weight and muscles changes as I'm senseing some hamstring bruising and healing to me is the signs of clicking to the level III in which I'm heading to higher level of competetions.

Malmo: you had the 7th fastest time in the world in 1977? Was that your best year? It appears that you were also the 2nd fastest American that year, per the above list, behind the great Henry Marsh. (the most bang for your buck distance runner around, if you believe the stories of his 50 mpw training). Way to go! That's the year the AAU was at UCLA and the meet you nipped Addison in. Was Doug Brown already retired?
The Time warner Cable system carries a channel called FSNY in the NYC area it has a 2006 Carlsbad 5000 show on Monday 16 April at 3-3:30 PMEDT.
I have no idea if Henry gets any screen time.

The 314 day of training phase II.A long run for road testing on my right hamstring. It feels great and tendor it is in there healing all the back hamstrings muscles are stretching out for sure getting ready for level III.Next Sunday is going to be One-Mile TT without spikes on.I wouldn't wear spikes until I'm sure the hamstrings are ready to take.My running form and posture was great. I think working on Team Rono Gym creates effective fast ways of losing weights.

malmo: on that NCAA championship link; I noticed there was no X-C? Did I miss another link or way of getting to that?
