Plenty of rough results for CA athletes at NXN today. More than conditions or having to wear spikes for the first time in XC I really think it has to do with the CA schedule. Racing State meet last weekend rather than a month ago is by no means an advantage.
Rip Liam Miller, bro was one spot off from qualifying😴
Liam Miller dropped off a bit towards the top of switchbacks / on the descent. He fought hard to get back. He pulled back a lot of runners in the last mile but it wasn't enough. He's a really good runner. So close. Likely has to be a huge disappointment for him but he should be proud of his efforts this season.
Why do I feel like Noonan would go to Stanford or UW?
Because he’s fast and fast people with his times. Although, since he hasn’t committed by this point, I assume he’s trying to increase his senior first semester grade so that he can commit to an academic school. I find that to be typically the case for high school athletes, who wait to commit later their senior year.

Lots of typos so let me rephrase: Because Noonan is fast and fast people with his times have committed to Stanford/UW. Evan won the Stanford Invite 1600 in a meet record this past March.
Very few SoCal teams come up to Stanford given how many big t&f invitationals are held every late winter/spring in the LA area.
So, likely an unofficial visit. Or, maybe an official visit. Not sure how that all works.
Obviously, Stanford is recruiting him. Don't know what other schools Evan is considering.
If he made friends with L&L or Josh Bell when they raced at NXN or multiple state meets, The Farm may have the inside track.
I mean, Evan seems to be pretty tight with Josh Bell going by prior social media posts. Evan is also good friends with the Oakdale guys, Pretre, Aydon, and Carson Hedlund just to name a few. There seems to be a lot of comradery between the California guys.

It was an unofficial visit. Not sure about this year but his grades sucked last year.
