It's time to catch up with our favorite Running YouTubers!
Kofuzi is on Cloud 9, reviewing an On shoe and taking a trip to go trail running in Africa (so much for the I'm staying home this year resolution). He's also publicly pining for a Sydney bib and saying he's in discussions/negotiations with Sport Tours about it. I guess that kind of sponsorship does make sense. If five people with the cash watch his video and decide to drop $15k to run Sydney with them, it probably covers his comped travel and appearance fee.
Phily Bowden is celebrating being accepted into the London Elite Field.
Allie Ostrander defeated Phily Bowden by about a minute in her debut half marathon and is celebrating her top five finish and 71 minute half debut.
Spencer Brown AKA the Local Legend AKA The Athlete Special is celebrating the return of the Athlete Special and a top ten finish at the Mesa Half Marathon.
The Greatest of All Time, Still the Original Running Shoetuber is documenting his training for the Jersey City Half Marathon in a new shed in his back yard. And running in cold weather.
Matt Fox is trashing Nick Bester. Nick Bester says his account got hacked. That's so much drama it should have its own thread.
Ben is Running is doing hill sprints and liking the new Adidas shoe (Evo SL)
Ben Parkes is trashing the new Nike shoe (Pegasus Premium) because it's so heavy. Lots of YouTubers don't like that shoe. But apparently they're all too young to remember the late 90s and give it the proper review which is: 1997 called, it wants its top running shoe back.
Some new dude named Yowana is rambling on for over an hour about the Nike shoe and hawking some app that he presumably has some relationship with. I don't really get that guy's videos and I can't watch more than a minute or two of them at a time, but he gets lots of views. I don't think he's that big of a fan of the Nike shoe either.
The Believe in the Run crew is rehashing their trip to Miami, which warmed them up from a cold Baltimore winter, talking with Hoka product designers (Hoka paid for their trip to Miami it seems), and eating cordiceps Mushrooms.
And in positive news, the views and likes and comments on Matt Choi's Instagram posts have crashed since his New York City Marathon stunt.
And that's all the time we have for running YouTubers today! I'm looking forward to see how they do in their Spring Marathons.
