But presumably his staff isn't distancing from 2025 without his approval. It seems a little surprising that he'd agree to that. But maybe it's like you say - impulse control. In a meeting a Mar a Lardo, he agrees with the reasonable suggestion for OTHERS to distance him from 2025. But then goes out and says stuff as bad or worse himself.

Well, that was actually too kind. You did kind of make at least one point, and it was atrocious. Have you missed all of the supposed liberals telling you VERY clearly that they would vote for ANYONE/THING over the Orange POS?
Hint: That means that policy is NOT driving their decision. Pond scum isn't strong on policy, of any political bent. No, their decision is being driven basically 100% on the Orange POS that has been in their face for ~10 years. Ditto a whole bunch of Republicans who saw Trump up close. They don't want Harris' policies, but realize that are things infinitely more important. But you and a huge majority of "the right" aren't nearly good enough to manage that.

FWIW I’m against tariffs (like those implemented by Trump and expanded under Biden / Harris). I support free trade. It has done wonders to eliminate poverty globally and improved the quality of life for those in this country. Capitalism is a wonderful thing. Worth remembering that Harris voted against the Trans Pacific Partnership and the USMCA.

because Trump is able with a stroke of his pen throw on massive tariffs and expell millions. Which will be a disaster.
