Polls only call likely voters. There are a lot of young people not polled who will vote this time.
A lot of people (especially younger) do not answer the phone if it's an unknown number so the polls aren't as reflective of the cross-section as they should be.
And this is something I've noticed:
A lot of Republican voters I know of and know personally have gone silent. Many of them have changed their minds but don't comment. Some very weakly try to defend Conservative policies but won't vote for a rapist who stole $50K from a children's charity and is convicted of paying off a porn star to not tell anyone that she spanked his bare butt with a magazine with his picture on the cover.
Some are embarrassed that they ever voted for him in the first place.
It's one thing to say that you voted for Romney (oops) but an entirely other thing to have fallen for one of the biggest losers in American business history.
