I think that's probably a different Ben Rogers from our Ben Rogers. It's a common name so I don't think that is anything suspicious.

Has Mimi's data documentation been insufficient for a record attempt? Fine. Then don't list her result in your record book.

But has there been some specific evidence of cheating by Mimi? Not that I've found here, after reading all 2000-something posts.

Call me back if somebody finds her not running when and where she claims to be, or catches her RV driving 4 MPH down the road with her inside it, or some other smoking gun. But all I've seen to this point is a smear campaign, and discussion about the unreliability of Strava data that applies equally to every other Strava runner in the universe. Absent any actual evidence of trickery, I think it's time to take off the tinfoil hats and return to dissecting people's RUNS instead of their Facebook profiles.

Yes, you caught me. This has all been an instructive discussion full of well-reasoned, fact-based posts. Sorry for implying otherwise.

Mimi is on target for a 16 hour day from the start of running to stop. Regular sleep seems to be an optional at this point. It is 8:38 PM and she is running down dark country roads. Marvellous.

Maybe somebody can explain this odd thing on Mimi's Strava to me. On about half of her Strava uploads, it shows the device she is using is a "Suunto Spartan Ultra" while the other half just says "Suunto". Why is that? Would you expect that all of Mimi's Strava uploads would give the full name of the watch she is using instead of just "Suunto" in half the uploads? Anyone else seen this before?

But I believe all her watches are the Suunto Spartan Ultra.

Sandy started her run one hour later than Mimi (Sandy is one hour ahead timezone-wise). She ended her run at 6:24 PM (Garmin Time; Lat: 40.511881 - Lon: -107.641575) and then took a ride to an RV park ~7 miles down the road.

Sandy's Stava is up. (Garmin start time: 3:57 AM)

* 55.3mi. 13:09:58

* Garmin Time: Start 3:57 AM. End 6:24 PM. 14:27 start to end.

Mimi ended her day:

* 6:41 PM Garmin time. 57.98 miles. 15:50:15 run time. 3.66 mph. 6.91 mph max speed.

Mimi's Strava is up for both runs

* 58.4 miles. 14:08:12 total run time ( 6:54:02 + 7:16:18).

* Garmin Time: 15:50:15 start to end.

Mimi is spent more time running than Sandy. Both ladies have more than 1 hour of non-running time today; 1:18 for Sandy, 1:42 for Mimi.

Maybe not for redundancy? Maybe one for morning. One for afternoon? That would defeat the purpose of having a backup if one fails during the day.

I had not realised the team had started using Garmin inReach trackers. I missed those posts because I had been out running.

I had assumed they (I don't want to be accused of assuming gender) were talking about they meant a Garmin GPS tracker available from the watch being connected to a cellphone when she is known to be using suunto watches.

But I acknowledge my error..... She is indeed using Garmin inReach now.

It looks like the Garmin is only used for position tracking (real GPS). The Suuntos are for Stava (cellphone tower based)

What Garmin is she using? Assumed it was a Garmin inReach GPS satellite phone/nav but is it a watch instead?
