Word on the street is that UTexas doesn't know who they are going to hire for their 6th position. Female, yes, no experience, possibly. That was as of two days ago so maybe the winds have changed since then. Nothing is set in stone.

Word on the street is that UTexas doesn't know who they are going to hire for their 6th position. Female, yes, no experience, possibly. That was as of two days ago so maybe the winds have changed since then. Nothing is set in stone.

I think it would be great that UT hire one of their former athletes or a great former great athlete from elsewhere. UT already hire an impressive staff so now they need someone who is young and can go out and help recruit as well as one on one time on the track. I mean every coach has to start somewhere, why not start on the top!

They're actually having a news conference formally announcing the change from Nutty to Mick this afternoon at 3:30 CT. Barry is supposed to be in attendance as well. I don't know many schools that have gone to this level to announce a track coaching change, but coach Nuttycomb is a legend.
