Who left Florida?

The improvement will be determined by how much money they are allocating to that part of the team. Unless you’re simply blaming their past assitants for not recruiting properly despite the scholarship dollars they could offer. If they had true talent Halloway would have a hand in their training.

The rumour that I heard is Adrain Mann is leaving to coach professionals full time.

Hmm interesting. They did recruit well a few years ago but it’s been a clear lack of development. I truly thought it was just coaching but you make a very good point perhaps they need to allocate more funds to the women’s sprints/hurdles.

This is a pretty easy job to fill.... Curt Kraft hasn't done much the past 5 years. No Pressure

1. Josey Weaver - Bring him back!!! He built Central Arkansas into the ASUN soon to be champs on both the men & womens sides. Just about took down Cale McDaniels Kennesaw women's team after only being there with 2 recruiting classes. He is a NC Native... he coach at ECU for 6 years & built the xc teams from deadlast in the American to 4th ... his dads known in high school ranks... seems like a no brainer. DAMN good recruiter.

2. Brie Berkowitz - no head coaching experience ... but has coached there previously... she had 1 good athlete there (PV girl)... she is coaching at Penn State now.... she went to school at ECU ... seems like she would be overwhelmed, but would go there no doubt. Team would love her... don't know if she can lead sprinters & jumpers.

3. Marc Davis - USATFCCCA President!!!!! - Wife is from Greenville, NC - would bring a great change to the program. Probably needed if they want to be able to compete again for an American Conference Championship. Proven coach - would bring his wife as throws coach (hall of fame at ECU)... bye bye Price

4. David Price - Elevate to Head coach...... lol JKJKJK all of ECU's assistants would be a nightmare as the next head coach.... they might want to start packing their bags.

Anyone else hear of anyone going after this job?????

Much more obvious top choice resides in the state of NC and had A LOT more success in the American than Josey could ever dream of after just 1 year in the conference (started at his school the same year Weaver started at ECU as well)

The salaries posted online for the current ECU staff are abysmal. good luck fielding any talent there without a serious influx of cash into the salaries.

Joseph Lynn can’t do what he does at UNCC at ECU. There’s roster limits. Can’t run the hell out of everyone there. Also, can’t have people transferring out…. Crazy small world … but pretty sure Weaver just signed UNCC best miler Haughton who just broke 4mins.

Weaver would be crazy to go back to ECU. Hope the Pirates get someone in there good…. The salaries would have to change.

4. You mean the guy who has been there for 20 years, has done more with less than anyone and is beloved by everyone. Any HC who comes in would be a fool to not keep him. Guy makes lemonade out of water and dirt.

He took over Louisburg JUCO after Josh left and went to Mercer. Now he takes over Mercer after Josh leaves.

There was a gap between them I think
