I was leaning towards voting Harris. Trump is too old and too loony.

But the disgusting people Harris has surrounded herself with are probably the last straw for me. Walz lying about everything and being accused of assaulting minors. Harris' husband being a domestic abuser in public, and who knows what else in private. I can't support that ticket.

IMO, they should just restructure legacy admissions as a long term high donor admission. Schools need money and it makes sense to incentivize the rich to fund them. If a family is willing to give a school huge amounts of money, let their kids in to the school as long as their academic credentials are close enough they won’t embarrass themselves and the school.

What's going on is that the trump humpers here are completely deranged. The likes of Gary follow social media accounts that all push the same crazy lies to try to give them some level of credibility. This is what Bannon referred to when he said they would flood the zone with BS. They hope by pushing this completely fabricated garbage enough on social media that FOX will report on it. That gives it further credibility and if anything the Ds will be asked to respond to it. This is the way of the Trump party.

You can certainly fault the Harris campaign for losing momentum after they trotted out Liz Cheney and talked a lot about being bipartisan in an age where such a thing no longer exists. But at the same time, the Trump campaign has been nothing more than a steaming pile of garbage. Trump is campaigning in California. California. His small dollar donors have plummeted. His campaign left rally goers to walk 2 hours back to the parking lot after a Coachella rally. His messaging just keeps going off the rails and lacks the discipline that was there when Bannon ran the 2016 campaign. In short, Trump is not doing anything that you can point to that is winning over voters other than being very Trumpy.

But I think the more things change, the more they remain the same. This is actually just a typical Karl Rove style campaign. You do everything you can to turn off voters and focus on a few wedge issues in hopes that your base turns out to win the day. Except that the focus on wedge issues hasn't been very focused. Instead, the election is shaping up as a choice between two lifestyle brands. So, polling at this point may not be telling the entire story.
