I was going to stay quiet, but since you asked....The previous Delaware coach, Iyevbele, was removed due to student complaints. It was nothing bad like at Colorado or Oregon, she was just trying to create a team culture that took the sport seriously.

The hire of Hayman to Mercer is puzzling to me. I'm certain he's a great guy, but his resume is pretty light on success coming from a very well supported program at Mercer. It's obvious Delaware isn't taking track seriously and they just wanted to bring in someone to babysit the team and not cause headaches.

They attracted Dezerea Bryant (world championship bronze medalist) and Darrell Hill (Olympian, 22.44 PR in shot put) as assistant coaches, which proves they could have found someone with more success to be head coaches.

Stop lying. Mercer has men's football, baseball, basketball, lacrosse and soccer. That's an extraordinary amount of scholarships they need to balance out on the women's side. Since there's no women's football, the track and XC team has been fully funded for a long time.

I interviewed for the job the last time it was open. They have around 2.5 girls scholarships for xc and 2.5 for track
