Internal polling shows Michigan is likely to come down to a few thousand votes (via my school’s Republican club - I go to school right over the border and we’ve been asked to turn out voters). Heading there for the next weekends until the election to try to make turnout among rural white males as high as possible.
Trump will win Michigan and then win the election. MA6A!
Nope. Michigan has continued to be more and more Democratic. UAW endorsed Harris. Harris wins MI and the election. It's over.

Correct!
Historically speaking MI & PA vote in the same direction in presidential elections. When MI goes red for Trump, PA will too!
I see you have this blankie for today. Make sure you have one on election day, and get that hot cocoa ready. Private polling, internal polling, oh you are so delusionally hopeful.

Lichtman is not going to save you. Kamala is DONE!
This is really Trump's only path to pull off another 2016 upset. Dems have allowed Trump to gain major inroads among working class males, including minorities. Teamsters refused to endorse either candidate after internal polling showed strong support for Trump. Losing votes among labor union members is a huge owned goal for Dems because Trump's NLRB appointees were horribly anti-union and Trump's secretaries of labor were a who's who of union busting, including Antonin Scalia's son Eugene. Harris should be making the PRO Act front, raising minimum wages, etc., front and center issues. But she isn't. If she loses, this will be what did her in.
condi rice is persona non grata because she was an architect and defender of the iraq war and you agree that war was a blunder. Why should we trust a foreign policy expert after that? She SHOULD be not welcome.
Susan rice is persona non grata for complete nonsense, Republican hysterical propaganda.
but you have to try to play the 'both sides are bad' card so you equate those two.
Not awesome, not awesome.
Select quotes from a liberal source, but read the whole thing,
“But the Libya debacle aside, Rice was under increasing scrutiny over her record of militarism, including her support for the invasion of Iraq, her backing of authoritarian African leaders and her description of her post as ambassador to the UN as being intended to provide "unwavering support for Israel".
Rice served in Bill Clinton's administration as a national security adviser and an assistant secretary of state for Africa. She was out of office by the time of 9/11 and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. But she backed the Bush administration's claims that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, the false pretext for the invasion.
"It's clear that Iraq poses a major threat. It's clear that its weapons of mass destruction need to be dealt with forcefully, and that's the path we're on. I think the question becomes whether we can keep the diplomatic balls in the air and not drop any, even as we move forward, as we must, on the military side," she told National Public Radio in December 2002.
In other NPR interviews, Rice supported the notion of "regime change" in Iraq, saying it did not require additional UN security council resolutions and reiterated her view that the case was proved that "Iraq has these weapons and is hiding them".
After Rice was appointed as Obama's ambassador to the UN, she strongly backed military intervention in Libya; she has also pressed for American intervention in Syria. Rice has also said that "there is no daylight" between the US and Israel over Iran's nuclear programme. Her supporters say that merely reflects the White House position.”
“And, of course, as U.N. ambassador, Rice was a leading force behind the U.S. intervention in Libya, which the administration justified through a series of arguments that bore little scrutiny then and have aged poorly. Contrary to the administration’s claims, there was little indication of impending mass slaughter in Benghazi in early 2011. White House claims that military intervention would help make Libya a liberal country offend what we know about the sources of liberalism and seem even more dubious given conditions there today. Events in Syria and elsewhere have made a mockery of Rice and the administration’s argument that bombing Libya would allow democratic revolutions in nearby countries to proceed without repression.
Because Congress had little interest in debating or authorizing the war and the administration did not ask for permission (except from the United Nations), these arguments avoided scrutiny, especially once Muammar Qadhafifell, which seemed to vindicate the endeavor. Had Congress devoted the attention it is now giving Benghazi to the war itself, it might at least have improved the conduct of the war and its aftermath. Congress’s inaction makes it at least as culpable for what happened in Libya as Rice.
To be fair, Rice’s opinions on all these matters are little different from most Democratic foreign-policy elites, including most of the other people advising Obama about wars. Their Republican counterparts differ only in having less use for multilateralism and being somewhat more belligerent. A small irony here is that, substantively, McCain and Rice differ little on these wars, probably less than he and Sen. John Kerry, who is also a rumored to be in the running for secretary of state. Rice is just a notably successful exemplar of a foreign policy community where supporting war is generally better for one’s career than opposing it.”
Big equivalency, in essence another NeoCon, but of course you don’t see it… Not awesome.
I appreciate the work you put into that, but you are missing the main point.
Susan Rice was ruined by the day when she went onto five TV shows to talk about Benghazi. The Rs invented a story that she intentionally misled the American public and have demonized her ever since. That's the deal with Susan Rice, not her views on Libya. Susan Rice had to drop out of contention for Sec State because of all that nonsense.
Wikipedia tells the story well:
On September 11, 2012, a U.S. diplomatic facility and CIA annex in Benghazi, Libya, was attacked, resulting in the deaths of the United States ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service information management officer Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALS, Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods. On September 16, Rice appeared on five major interview shows to discuss the attacks. Prior to her appearance, Rice was provided with "talking points" from a CIA memo.[66] Each of the 11 drafts of CIA talking points maintained that the attack was "spontaneously inspired" by a violent protest at the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt, hours earlier, which had been triggered by the release of an anti-Muslim video.[67] Protestors breached and entered the embassy compound.[68] During the hours before the Benghazi attack, Egyptian satellite television networks popular in Benghazi had been covering the outrage over the video.[69] Since Rice's five television appearances, there have been persistent accusations that she had intentionally misled the public. However, none of the ten Benghazi investigations conducted by Congress—six by Republican-controlled House committees—determined she had. The Republican-controlled House Intelligence Committee's two-year investigation found that CIA analysts had erred and that there was no conclusive evidence showing that Rice or any other government official acted in bad faith or intentionally misled the American people.[70]
Conservatives cared about the border for the three long years that Biden/Harris exacerbated the problem and set the tone with Mexico that it was essentially an open door so invite all the South and Central Americans too, would ya? Only to *correctly* realize it was a political liability a year ago and to then seek a bipartisan bill that was still somewhat impotent and that also included massive handouts to Israel and Ukraine. You know, all the while debt to GDP is at 120% and climbing. Now, if you need to characterize them as M.A.G.A., so be it. I was onboard with not giving Biden a political win. But I sure as hell would’ve been on board with it in year 1.
Had Democrats also realized a year ago, like the rest of us, just how far Biden was gone, they would’ve pulled a mutiny then and run a proper Democratic process and primary to nominate a candidate people could actually get excited about. But they didn’t. They chose Kabuki Theatre.
And if Trump wins, even though he’s surely not my pick, I will laugh at you, especially you. If for no other reason than your arrogance and Demagoguery.
Oh, the humanity! when Flagpole's girl loses on election night.
It's going to be fun seeing all the posts aimed at him.
1) She's a woman, not a girl.
2) She's definitely not MY woman. She's just the woman I am voting for and who will win the election.
3) Harris is not going to lose. She will win. It's over. I hope that when she does win, you will take stock of your delusion and perhaps seek therapy.

Flagpole is totally wrong. He lives in Ohio, a Republican state, and the autoworkers have changed big time. He was wrong about 2016, 2020 and he'll be wrong about Michigan as it's beyond close which means Trump may take it. He's right that the "leaders" are putting it out there that they are backing Harris, but that's the liberal news (which controls 85 plus percent of the information).

you forgot the legal coup the Rs are planning to throw the election to the House to elect trump no matter what the votes say.
Anyway, I've pretty much come to peace with four or more years of trump. Looking forward to you all blaming the libs for the disaster is coming.

Flagpole guaranteed that Hillary would win in 2016. His track record is about as bad as it comes. He should be helping his wife eeke out a living not predicting on presidential races.
Sally, I said Hillary would win unless Donald cheated. Donald cheated.
Regarding this election, Harris will win, even IF Donald cheats. It's over.

p.s. I'll be back on November 5th. You clearly watch nothing but liberal sights in an attempt to be informed and that's your downfall. Educate yourself as even CNN admits that if the polls are even remotely close, Trump will win in a landslide, their own words. Trump will win on November 5th, period.

No, Hillary cheated, period. And your incessant complaints about Facebook were wrong again and Zuckerberg admitted it. The ads coerced people like you into voting for Hillary but she still lost. But...yes, Biden cheated in 2020, that much is correct. Of course, Flagpole will deny the link below and say look, squirrel;)
Zuckerberg alleges that the officials, including those from the White House, "repeatedly pressured" Facebook for months to take down "certain COVID-19 content including humor and satire."
If Trump wins? He's not going to win. Harris will win. It's over.
Famous last words.
Harris/Walz are the underdogs (at least they got that right), and one's own vote is not enough. You have to actively do something to get others to vote for H/W.
And posting on LRC, where everyone's opinion was formed and solidified long since, definitely doesn't count.

p.s. You never wrote on any post that HIllary would win unless Trump cheated, ever. Liar.
And yes, Harris is going to try to cheat, no doubt about it, but after Biden cheating, now the watch dogs are out in Michigan. They cheated in Detroit and closed out any Republicans trying to get in...they cheated. Harris will try big time like Biden did who got away with it, but she knows Trump is destroying her in the polls so she's in panic mode now.

You don’t think internal polling is more reliable?
Internal polls are very expensive. Each campaign pays through the nose for a deep dive into the electorate. They are much more accurate than the public polls that are released.
Kamala's sudden strategy shift to appear on TV is very telling. It indicates that her internal numbers are HORRIBLE and that she can no longer remain in the basement. Too little, too late.
She's an idiot who's in way over her head. She will lose next month.

1) In 2016, I said HRC would win unless Trump cheated. Trump cheated, so I was right.
2) In 2020, I said Biden would win, and Biden won. How was I wrong there? I even picked every state correctly except for Florida. If you want to say I wrong about Florida, then ok.
3) Harris will win MI, and yes the leaders of the UAW endorsed Harris, but that's still a big deal. Not everyone has a strong opinion of these two political candidates (strange but true), and not only will some of those who belong to the UAW vote for Harris because leadership endorsed her, but so too will non-UAW members who respect the UAW.
4) What state I live in matters not. Trump will win Ohio, so my vote for Harris will not make a difference here. I will also vote Yes on Issue 1 which has a good chance to pass, and I will vote for Sherrod Brown, and he will win. Oh, I will also vote in several swing states (actually all of them) in the super secret way that I also did in 2020 when Democrats stole the election the no trace left behind. I mean, it's so easy to do, right?
