How does that even work where Trump calls Putin? How does a private citizen get the information and clearance to call the Russian leader?
Does Trump record these calls to Putin? Does he at least have someone type up a summary of what Putin said and give it to US intelligence agencies? Does Trump debrief with intelligence agents (CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Pentagon)? Does he let the State Department know he's going to be talking to the leader of Russia? Anything Putin ever says or does is vital information for our intelligence systems. Does Trump help his country out when engaging in these calls with America's enemy? Based on his attitude and feelings towards America and his own enormous selfishness, I'm betting he doesn't try to help his country at all.
Trump has always been careful to have very few witnesses, recordings or paper trail. That is how a seasoned white collar criminal operates.

Millions of Americans continue setting us up for a dystopian future.
It's very hard to feel positive about our country when a large portion of our elected leaders have given up any shred of honesty and ethics. And, millions in our population seem either ignorant of it, or are aware of it and support it.
Some of the more extreme progressive Democrats may have opened the door for the takeover of the Republican party by giving them targets. Honest and ethics has been pretty close to extinguished in the Trump party. Loyalty to party has replaced them.
Democrats have made mistakes which gave allowed the Trump movement room to take hold. Many of the more progressive leaders seem to realize that and have stepped back from their demands.
I too don't agree with a lot the Ds have done and their strategy, but what can you do when the whole other political party and a dominant media network get 100% behind a criminal dictator wannabe? The lie machine is just too efficient and powerful and americans are too gullible and emotionally fragile. What we are talking about here is a convicted felon expressing his desire to demolish the rest of our institutions and democratic processes. With enough collusion any system can't take the beating.
