Who let him do it? I'm not sure anyone can prevent Trump from calling any one he wants. I would hope that a call from anyone in the US to the Kremlin or the Russian president would at least be monitored if possible, though.
And I would hope that Trump would record such calls and hand over the recordings to US intelligence so they could analyze them. Maybe Trump did do that. We don't know. But other than intelligence gathering purposes, I can't think of a single well-intentioned reason why Trump would be talking to Putin after Trump was out of office. This is all sketchy as hell, and I hope it's being investigated (unless, like I said, Trump was cooperating with US intelligence).

Trump has always been careful to have very few witnesses, recordings or paper trail. That is how a seasoned white collar criminal operates.
Nah.. its just that he was born into money and along the way had some powerful friends in the right places, like Rudy. He's actually been criming pretty openly for a long time. The reality is our justice system is kinda awful when it comes to going after big fish and it's very fkn slow.

If he wins, all I can advise is for you to stop following politics and save yourself the frustration of watching what remains of our democracy and rule of law get flushed down the toilet. And Trump humpers will keep rejoicing at the thought of libs getting owned, even as they and their country continue to get obliterated by their useful idiot master. They'll never see their role in it or accept the damage that was done, so don't hold your breath for that either.
