Ukraine is screwed. They are losing. Russia is winning, as a few of us have been saying for over a year. Eventually all will believe the truth as it keeps seeping out.

Ukraine has four times more Nazis than Russia and a ton less people. Nazis are everyday civilian street life in Ukraine. Head to the local Ukraine Nazi cafe on the local street corner. Hundreds of Nazi monuments are all over Ukraine. Ukraine's government is a Nazi state, according to America.

2018 was before the main war, when everyone could speak honestly. This carries more weight than recent admissions of Ukraine's Nazi government via its Nazi military uniforms.

2020 was before “the main war” WTF that means. It was a time when you could write a whole book on how Putin supported Nazis in Russia. Russia has been a Nazi-infested sh*thole even since Stalin and his buddy Hitler decided the Holocaust was cool.

I don't care about Ukraine at all. It'd be better if Ukraine surrendered the ethnically Russian areas for peace.

These symbols are associated not only with Nazism and antisemitism but with white supremacy and anti-gay groups.

Stop with the Nazi stuff. Just because it's true doesn't mean we need it shoved in our faces. I can't find any pictures of Russian troops with Nazi uniforms so it must be ok on Ukraine's uniforms.

That's not relevant. Relevant is the fact that Ukraine is becoming a European Afghanistan with no chances of kicking Russia out. The smart decision for Zelensky would be to give up and save some Ukrainian lives.

A repeat Afghanistan for Russia.

I clicked on the link nervously wondering whether this was some ground breaking reporting uncovering the worst fears of the Russian invasion of Ukraine causing neo-Nazis from around the world to descend on Ukraine and form a united international neo-Nazis battalion if not an entire division of the Ukraine armed forces. Then, I saw the byline: It's an Alan Dershowitz op ed. All he does is recycle the recent NY Times story on Nazi imagery in some UA units. But what is really offensive is how Dershowitz notes that there were pogroms against Jews in Ukraine hundreds of years ago (but doesn't mention the same or worse in Russia) and seems to think that there is something inherently anti-semitic about Ukrainians that is causing tolerance of Nazi symbols in the armed forces. And he also wonder out loud whether a victorious Ukraine will mean that neo-Nazi soldiers will be heroes and get elected to parliament to turn Ukraine into a neo-Nazi country. But to cover his bases, he also claims that a loss in the war will be blamed on the Jews (Zelensky and his closest allies are Jewish), resulting in modern pogroms against Jews in Ukraine. This is just blatant Russian propaganda by Dershowitz. Ukrainians are fighting and dying because they want to be part of the West and not be part of a corrupt authoritarian Russia. Neo-Nazis are not tolerated in Ukraine. The right wing parties only got 2% of the vote when Zelensky was elected. The government has consistently taken steps to reign in neo-Nazis and made Azov part of the UA so they could come under central command and control in order to root out neo-Nazi leaders. And yes, some soldiers embrace symbols that have historically held dual meaning between their adoption by the Nazis and previous and contemporaneous use as symbols of Nordic warriors and Ukrainian independence fighters. But Ukraine is currently fighting for its survival and doesn't have the luxury of calling in front line warriors for diversity and inclusion training.
