He was a volunteer coach, until he was hired for the position. Now he is paid. If they "fill" a position with an actual volunteer and don't pay them, then it is not considered a hire.
I asked because OSU has an ad on the USTFCCCA web site looking for 2 volunteers.

OSU not J Brown according to my sources. Two different birdies say KD is on the move to Columbus.
I never heard anything from Cornell and they interviewed back in June.
What is the rule on "emergency hires"? If you have an opening in June (OSU) but you choose not to fill it until the end of August, can you call this an "emergency hire" and therefore skip all the official BS? It seems if it was open that early she has to follow the rules with publicizing the opening then following typical protocol of interviews, etc...

From my understanding and credible source Chris Bostwick from Michigan State was just hired at Clemson to be the new jumps/multi's coach...any other news on who Coach Johnson will hire to replace his throws coach and other opening?
