My vote doesn’t count as I live in a deeply blue state, but I will readily admit that as an unaffiliated voter who generally leans right, I will vote a Republican down ballot ticket (because my state and its sanctuary cities are awful and a mere shadow of what they used to be), but I’m going to write in the president.
And this thread, if nothing else, has helped me clarify my thoughts there that I will write in Susan Rice to prove a point. Elevate someone of that stature, an African American woman with real domestic and international policy experience (beyond just casting partisan tie-breaking votes) who is pedigreed and respectable, mainly, and who professes anything but the victim card. That’s exactly what this country needs.
But I would understand a fence sitter in a swing state who was pushed to vote for Trump because of all the contemptible, condescending, vitriolic, mocking Democrats like those on this thread. Exactly because of them. Kind of like me with the hard core Branch Covidian vaxtards who hadn’t an ounce of humility. A guy like me, healthy, fit, and with natural immunity was still considering the Novavax booster, but these guys talked me out of it. And they just simply cannot see how their behavior is so off-putting and achieves the opposite of its intended effect.
It’s just easier to chalk it all up to stupidity rather than look in the mirror and do some introspection. There’s nothing left to say. It’s sad either way.
Clearly you only hear out of one side if this is your take on this thread. Truly you live in a vacuum.
Trump and his closest allies have created this environment simply because it is profitable for them - he is still the same guy who was visibly uneasy when he found out he actually won in 2016. Easier to play the people's disruptor then actually led.
Only reason he actually wants to win this time is to stay out of prison. The election interference and class docs cases are slam dunks if he is not in office.

Interesting poll results showing more Republicans willing to cross party lines to vote for Harris than Dems willing to do the same to vote for Trump. Trump's 2016 win was a razor thin margin in WI, MI and PA in which he was able to turn just enough Obama voters over to his side to eek out a margin of victory that was less than 1% in each state. If the polls are right (and who knows if they are), then Harris could potentially do the same move. She could get narrow victories by drawing former Trump voters over to her side. Michael Moore claims that he is hearing from a lot of voters who are just sick of Trump's routine and will vote for Harris just to get Trump out of politics. And I think there is some appeal to Harris reaching across party lines to campaign with Liz Cheney and other Republicans. While Trump is certainly very popular with his base, it is also clear that people are sick of hyper partisanship as evidenced by the extremely low approval numbers for Congress. So, Harris may be able to tap into that anger as being the candidate who is willing to be bipartisan.

Yeah I've been wondering if Trump could be effective at all in attracting non-R voters. I just don't see him trying much, especially with his even more unhinged extremist rhetoric. He doesn't see that his chronic lying is a double-edged sword. Americans are fkn dumb but you can manage to cross a line where the lies are just too insane to entertain, and then it's more a matter of motivation to get out there and vote for the opposition. Harris with her border strategy and appeal on the economy (easily stealing it from the Rs), plus RINO endorsements offers a solution to those sick of the convicted felon and GOAT liar.
