To be in an engaging debate, and perhaps change a mind or two, I have a question. Even if we assume that the man deported to El Salvador was completely guilty of everything he's being accused with, does that mean he shouldn't get due process. Furthermore, if one of the main functions of the executive branch is to enforce the judicial branch, and multiple republican justices (with a trump appointee!) give a unanimous decision to bring the man back to face trial, shouldn't that be done? There are many serial killers and terrible criminals, but they all get due process. What is the rationale for undermining what makes the American judicial system so fair compared to the rest of the world?

Point of clarification- he was granted a withholding of removal (his petition for asylum was denied because it was filed too late). While a withholding of removal order shares some similarities to asylum, it’s far more restrictive (e.g., doesn’t provide a clear path to citizenship). In addition, the withholding of removal only prevents him from being deported to El Salvador. It’s not clear if there is another country that would be willing to accept him.
