On November 24th 2013, a large crowd containing Ukraine Nazi / neo nazi flags, started the very first violence which ultimately led to the 2022 war. Ukraine neo-nazis then went to the Donbas to ethnic cleanse unarmed civilian minority people for 8 years only after November 24th 2013, not before.
This first Euromaidan violence and the ensuing tit-for-tat is the reason for 1) Ukraine’s Nazi ethnic cleansing of its own minority people in the Donbas before Russia ever arrived and 2) the Russian government's liberation of the Donbas Feb 2022.
Ukraine is actually the fascist. Russia the anti-fascist, like WWII. Ukraine invaded the Donbas before the Russian government was even there. For no reason! When Ukraine invaded the Donbas, Ukraine was already successfully re-aligned with the EU, Yanukovych was out, and the revolution had succeeded! So why keep pushing racism and ethnic cleansing when the purpose of the Euromaidan was achieved??? Big mistake. It started a legit war.

Crimea was insignificant for the 2022 primary war outbreak. Crimea voted overwhelmingly to rejoin Russia. Nobody cared about it enough to fight for it. Ukraine did not try to reclaim Crimea.
