Looks like she had the director position at Dayton prior to coming to Illinois. So that would be the easy and cheap move. Uninspiring for a program that needs a jump start.

Yes, it changed in the last few years. That is the case now. I believe Gray Horn was responsible for coaching every single event outside of distance, and then they have a handful of distance coaches covering 800m-10k.
While what you’re saying is true, no one takes a guy like that seriously in the coaching world, we know who a guy like that is. Kudos to him but he’s a lackey which is what that role needs.
The vast majority of us started out like this guy. If you didn't, you're extremely fortunate. Sean Carlson started out as this guy for fvcksake. And all you dipsh!ts know he's been Carlson's assistant/recruiting coordinator at Notre Dame the past couple years so this makes sense right?
That assistant Carlson brought with him was hired last fall at Notre Dame so he has not been there for years, more like less than a year.
