Which position? Last I heard there were two positions opened but I could have misunderstood when the job originally opened.

All Wake resources are in distance? Somehow how I doubt that. I know someone that was on their staff and unless it’s changed in the last few years that is not the case.

Yes, it changed in the last few years. That is the case now. I believe Gray Horn was responsible for coaching every single event outside of distance, and then they have a handful of distance coaches covering 800m-10k.

That assistant Carlson brought with him was hired last fall at Notre Dame so he has not been there for years, more like less than a year.

"Prior to Notre Dame, Jacobsen was the cross country and track coach at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida, where he coached athletes to three FHSAA state championships during the 2020-21 school year."

And no anger over here. Good for him. He was at the right place at the right time. He very well could be the next greatest coach. Time will tell.

Half the staff leaves ASU in a span of weeks, leaving 3 sprint coaches. Whew a mess. Do they all really coach sprints?

I am pretty sure if you're shooting for a top 5 spot at National you have to put an emphasis and investment into Sprints Hurdles Relays Jumps
