Yes, of course I want all records to be legit, but you're downplaying Dave without real reason. As I said numerous times, Dave holds the 24, 48 and 72hr Canadian records which at one point were Al's so how can you discredit Dave's background? Yes this is his first real attempt at a long multiday record but obviously he is doing well.
It's probably harder to "cheat" these days than 30 years ago with all the tracking technology but in my opinion Dave has been on top of all of this
- has 2 gps watches on all his runs to track data
- has the Garmin live tracker on (although at times i know there are bad connections)
- constant social media shots or video of him out on the route with pictures and time stamps of start/end points each day
- people running with him (i.e., witnesses)
What more do you think he should be doing to not be serious about this??
