Nice but I hadn't found the AB1 to be a great fit compared to the AB2, a bit "loose". The upper felt a bit plasticky/stiff. They had a nice AB2 black limited edition for around €100 recently but the gold "accents" were a bit much ;-)

Not much of interest shown by Adidas here : http://running.competitor.com/2015/08/photos/sneak-peek-a-first-glance-at-30-new-shoes-for-2016_133152
Interesting review of the WIDE version of the Tempo Boost 7 here
http://kleinrunsdpt.blogspot.fr/2015/08/adidas-adizero-tempo-7-wide-review.html
- he also says he's seen picture of the TB8, will go looking.
Made me feel like giving the BB5 another try in their WIDE version, unfortunately no seller on Rakuten
http://global.rakuten.com/en/search/?p=1&k=adidas+boston+boost+wide&l-id=search_regular&tl=509057
seems to have them in US12/JP30.0
Does anyone have any information about the re-release of the Adios 1? How long for, limited edition etc
Also any information on the upcoming AB-3 would be great.
Trying to work out what to replace my AB2's with this winter
Has anyone tried the Adizero Feather Prime? Can't find any information on stack heights, etc

I need 10 of those ASAP.
Sorry, world record holders get priority;)
Available in Japan now - full rubber sole instead of rubber + plastic nubs
Err no. This link is to Japan (i.e. Adios) 1=re-release, not AB3.
Good catch !
It looks like the sole of the Boston, which would make it heavier...unless the upper has been (even more) lightened.
AB3s can be seen here too : http://www.amazon.de/adidas-Performance-Herren-Laufschuhe-rot/dp/B0155I718K
Have to say my first impressions of AB3 now we have these detailed pics (thanks gathernomoss) is disappointing. Look a bit cheap and as if designed to a tight budget.
I'm sure this is one/the major reason why Takumi Sen have not been marketed by Adidas so strongly, i.e. the margin on Adios is much greater than Takumi given the premium mesh, DSP and other materials used on Takumi.
Had a beautiful pair of New Balance shoes years ago.
How the hell am I supposed to remember what number they were called?
Drives me bananas.
I'm not Bill Gates, I can't just buy every pair until I find out that the originals have been discontinued/modified to oblivion.
Also, Nike, your waffle grip was great 20+ years ago, it still works, so why do you undermine some nice current shoes with a different, inferior grip pattern?
Shucks.

They do look a bit "cheap" don't they, could just be the three white stripes though as I took a closer look at my AB3s and the mesh doesn't seem too different. Not sure why they would have moved away from the "studded" sole of the AB1/AB2 and apparently used the sole of the Boston Boost 5. Maybe APT can share some light on this ? ;-)

The reason is that the continental rubber gives better grip in wet and dry conditions. The weight difference is marginal and the added grip benefit is more important over the course of a marathon. Water stations, sharp corners, roundabouts etc. All of these require deceleration and acceleration where grip plays a huge role.
bringing back the original adios is a good start, but I wish they'd bring back the Adizero Rocket as well.
Re Adizero Rocket, I think Takumi Sen Boost is pretty damn close. Clearly the addition of boost in the forefoot is a major, but imo hugely beneficial, diff.
Try them if you get the chance (prices as low as £63 in the UK now if you know where to look). Excellent balance of lightness, cushioning, quality materials and technology. And, no, I'm not an Adidas employee:)

this x100000
Don't make any changes, any upgrades. No boost foam, or new outsole. Literally the exact same shoe. $80 (which is what they used to sell for) would keep it competitive with the Streak LT2. With no addition R&D needed, the margin would have to be decent enough on them to warrant bringing them back in place of the Hagio/RC.
PLEASE ADIDAS! I know the racing flat market isn't all that large, but this has to be the most straightforward business decision ever (although making your split shorts and half tights ~1 inch shorter is pretty close).
I've worn the takumi sen with boost. Don't get me wrong - it is an awesome shoe. The boost in the forefoot is perfect. But I don't want to pay that much for my daily workout shoe. Save that for races. The rocket fills that gap. It was so durable, I STILL am wearing a pair.
