It doesn't matter. He is in violation of the University policy. It does not matter how many texts he received.

He apparently did not see this Emma turd outside practice from at least June on, and I would bet that even in a dysfunctional rule by terror and fear environment like Toledo (roll eyes) he didn't shag anyone on the infield with other teammates watching. BREAKING NEWS: I have heard a rumor out of Toledo that Hadsell's final Human Resources investigation actually shows that he was CLEARED of these deadspin allegations including that there was NO sexual harrassment. If that is the case, I would not want to be the deadspin publisher nor the person making the claims.

UT doesn't need more legal trouble. If they have him a whitewash then their general counsel has got to be going apoplectic.

When are you going to get it through your thick skull that, in terms of the severity of the actions, he admitted to about 95% of the accusations made here. Sleeping with multiple students under your control and sending wildly inappropriate messages to at least one more such student are all offenses that lead to termination. The most of the other stuff is a bunch of inconsequential, semi-adult 'playground' activity and it is essentially irrelevant to the main issue here. Trying to keep obfuscating that set of facts is an indication that you are part of the problem. Statements like "He apparently did not see this Emma turd outside practice from at least June on.." are essentially saying that 'I have stopped beating my wife, so what is the problem?'

I read the Deadspin article, which was full of accusations from current and former athletes but not a single admission...you can believe what you want about Hadsell but that is not the same as him admitting what you believe to be fact.

See all those "A former teammate recalled..." and "According to..." and "Andrea reports that..." statements in that story? Want their implications explained? And this... Hadsell has not returned multiple text and voice messages left on his cell phone, nor did he come to door of his Toledo house when we tried to reach him there in person. He did not respond to the note left on his front door. See all of those NOTS and NORS in there? Want those explained also? You should write for Deadspin yourself, you are obviously sleazy and biased and dumb enough.

I also read the Toledo Blade article, in it I read this...Mr. Hadsell, who led the program for 15 seasons, told The Blade he dated a UT athlete 10 years ago who was on his team, but that the more recent allegation was untrue. "The one that I [had a relationship with] was 10 years ago,” Mr. Hadsell, 42, said. “The one that I was accused of, I did not. ...” So that's it. Yes he obviously hit on Andrea, and probably nailed Caitlin and who knows how much of the shit leveled against him happened. But so far other than the texts it is the word of a jilted and mentally troubled young lady and that is it.

Oh,hey, you're as bad with figures as you are at reading words...you say Hadsell has owned up to "about 95%" of what people here, on this message board have accused him of. "95%" rounds up to "basically everything." He hasn't posted any admissions in this thread so how can you even write such garbage??

You really don't get it what I think is the major issue (and how you took my 95% statement indicates that it either was poorly written or that you misunderstood it because it is saying that much of that secondary stuff might/could be wrong because it does not go to the heart of the matter). That is, all of those 'accusations' are irrelevant (such as this "But so far other than the texts it is the word of a jilted and mentally troubled young lady and that is it.") to the major violation.

We have a major violation (several of them, probably, although your opinion is there is only the old one and are likely to know that better than I) of school rules, and it is the major violation(s) that matter here, not all those secondary statements. I could give a good god damn by comparison. Those major violations show that Hadsell is not fit to have such a position of responsibility. Then we have this "Yes he obviously hit on Andrea, and probably nailed Caitlin". Given that he has already gone over the LINE IN THE SAND before, he essentially needs to demonstrate that he did not do so again (although the one violation is a killer for him at Toledo).

As for the 95%, what I was saying is the opposite, I was saying that 95% of those things could be wrong -- it does not matter, what matters is that he was f.....g students under him [he also seems (I am not going to try to go over an parse all that stuff, which, as you point out, might not be reliable) to imply that the current one is a violation, just that in the October investigation they did not have a [smoking gun] so that they could not pin it on him].

His language and his demeanor are also 'unbecoming of an officer', and anyone who things his general behavior is OK is wrong. I personally do not think that he is a sociopath and more strongly, I think it is unlikely that his is. He is a charismatic guy that has used that for both good and inappropriate purposes and that has possibly ruined his career. Should he be out of coaching permanently? Wherever he goes he will be under a spotlight and that will help him with his self-control. As for coaching, he really needs to understand the issues about weight etc., in that numerous comments would make me think that he has a major problem there; but those comments are not necessarily reliable. A lot of those things that are irrelevant compared to the major violation actually will be important for those looking at him for positions in the future and I think that eventually there will be more clarity there, although that clarity will not necessarily be broadcast and there is not an absolute need to be.

Would Andrea sleep with him if she was dating somebody else? All of those texts are completely taken out of context and deleted to make it look like she was a victim. The texts that Deadspin didn't show were texts of her coming on to him RIGHT after she believed that Caitlin was with him. She even clarified this through texts, initiating each conversation. Now Hadsell calling other people "psycho" is definitely not a good idea.... but funny how anyone on the University of Toledo Cross Country team could recall a theme started by Andrea herself...."Themed Thursday" where she emailed the team about ways to better their running. She CALLS HERSELF A PSYCHO in this email and how people need to be conscious of what they are putting in their body etc... and not pay attention to thigh gaps and collar bones... etc. Furthermore I am only sharing this information because YES I am a member on the team and no Hadsell shouldn't have called anyone a psycho but that was Andrea's common form of "language"....

Deadspin went to Andrea to ask about his resignation. She happily handed over the texts that she had already CUT DOWN again to try and state Hadsell was sexually harassing her. Deadspin did not get the information from HR but Andrea herself. If I were Andrea I would seriously be worried. It was an act of jealousy and a struggle for attention. She couldn't handle having a former runner from the team come back as the assistant coach either. SHE WAS UNHAPPY and she needed a way out so that the team would look to her as a HERO and not someone who tried to already go pro and then come back.

What Hadsell did was completely un-professional... he was there 15 years. Clearly he got too comfortable and too wrapped up in his own bullsh*t. That is why he resigned. Why did he have documentation of earlier text messages? WHO KNOWS AND WHO CARES... he had inappropriate conversations with his athlete that were staged by her and a former assistant coach.

Are why would you be privy to these deleted text messages? You've seen them? Or did Hadsell simply tell you about them? Seeing as only two people had access to these alleged texts, and Kertesz didn't show them to you, it appears that you are relying on Hadsell's testimony. Even if these texts exist, you are clearly brainwashed.

Go back to coaching your own team and stop communicating with University of Toledo Athletes.

Outside of the fact Hadsell was romantically involved one of his STUDENT ATHLETES.... no other details of this story matter one iota.
