Hi, my BMI is 31. I am a 29 year old female, weighing 177lbs at 5 foot 2. I wear xl and large sizes and size 12 pants. I run 3 miles non stop in a park with hills in less than 30 minutes multiple times per week. I dont know my time w/o hills but I run less than 10 minute miles back to back. There are people w normal bmi's who cannot run 12 or 14 minute miles but here the suggestion is "no way" for obese and overweight people.. strong lungs, hearts, and bodies can indeed be fat and implying "no way it can be done" is very ignorant and shallow. I have no plans to lose weight but I do keep getting faster and I also swim miles at a time non stop and participate in intense gym classes w skinny people who take more breaks than the overweight girl here. Size can make an impact but it should never be a "not possible". I've been doing this for a while and do not struggle doing so. Just some insight for future advice you give. I understand where you're coming from but not everyone is built the same.
Are you trying to justify yourself to yourself?
