Ok so its been a little bit of time and I think it is now fair to count out Brandies... not even a contender
Who will take home the team title at ECAC's? And who will win it?

The more important question is which of these 6 teams will NOT make nationals? I think it's safe to assume that New England will get the full bid of 5.
Williams
MIT
Bates
Bowdoin
Middleburry
Tufts
My pick: Bowdoin
Williams has to be favored because of their incredible depth... but I think Bates and Tufts could give then a run for their money. Anyone know if any teams are running their top 7?

maybe bates will run their top seven to give them some more practice at keeping both shoes on before regionals
Schmitty could join them in a guest appearance an win by a minute or so.
ECAC results? What time was (is) the race?
I've got Williams, Midd, Bates, Tufts, Keene, Amherst, USM for top 7.
I heard differently... (unless your's is women)
Top 3 Men's Teams
Williams - 44
Tufts- 77
Middlebury- 109
Wish I could have run today, but like most good teams, we sat out our top 5.
Close battle of they JV teams, but individually it looked like Gisore from New England was doing a fartlek out there.
He won pretty easily, but was making move after move. He'd come out of the woods with a 10 second lead, then he'd come out of the next spot in a group, then a couple of minutes later he'd have a 10 second lead again. It was fun to watch. It was like he was toying with them. Then he dropped the hammer on Springle with a little over 400 to go, winning by almost 10 seconds. Like to see him try that on some better runners, though. I don't think next week will allow anyone to make more than one move. . . and I don't think he's got the leg speed to challenge for the win.
However you rarely see a slow, exciting race. But this was one.
Glad you were entertained. Most reasonable people thought he looked like an idiot.
Gisore's time on that course would have qualified him for nationals last year. It was a good run.
I see him finishing 5th-10th next week, now. Gomez should be right in that spot too, but I haven't seem him race too much. Does he have much of a kick? Gisore crushed the lap around the field. Hoyt of Keene has a good kick, which should make the non-nescac/MIT individual race an interesting one.
IMO, Midd made a mistake running those guys at ECAC. They have zero margin for error and now these guys will have to run their third race in three weeks after running 2 harder courses. I'm guessing not, but it would be interesting to see if Springel gets a spot on Williams; he has come through big for them in the past.
Guessing that of those 6 teams mentioned before:
Williams
Midd
Tufts
Bates
MIT
Bowdoin
2 will not make it. Williams is really the only team deep enough to be a lock so I wouldn't even try to guess which will fall.

I'm pretty sure Midd sat 6 and thus were only racing one person who will be on their regionals team. Maybe they were letting Hebble and Sundali race for the last spot or maybe they just wanted Hebble to get a solid effort in after a couple sub-par races.
Also williams sat their top 7 from nescacs, so i imagine that's their team, with springel maybe alternate
Not a real secret we always rest our top 7 at ECAC. The top ephmen will be the alternate for NCAAs and travel with the team. Springel will not run unless something happens to one of the seven.
Always a big debate over which region gets the 5... is New England a lock? I think so... And predictions for top 5 teams and individuals?
Teams:
Williams
Bates
Midd/Bowdoin
Tufts/MIT
Reasoning, Williams and Bates have the strongest packs, or so it seems. Midd, Tufts, Bowdoin have great front runners... I would include MIT but I see Harper just outside of the leader and there for not in contention, also MIT has no room for error and their 1-5 split is a minute... that spells trouble, better hope their freshman can get out.
Tufts... not really sure what to think after last week at NESCAC, if Rose is out or has hip trouble I don't think anyone will be able to step up "enough" to get that 1-5 lock. I still see a lot of people in front of Wallis their #2.
Bowdoin - home course advantage and if they race they did at NESCAC's they are dangerous.
Midd - #1 runner, but if Davies and Hebble don't run together and their 4-5 get lost in the pack which can easily happen, it could cost them. They could also win it! I'd personally like to see Schmitty go with his team.
Williams: I would be very surprised if they do not win. Any of their guys in the top 7 could be their #1, I am seeing Williams come in with a pack between, 7-28.
Bates: I am not sure if what their write up about losing shoes is true and how much they stretch the truth, but if Dilts can come back and race the way he has been last year and most of this season and Hannan just does what he did last week, I see them placing as the second favorite.
Crazy shit happens at regionals and teams either rise to the occasion or crumble, I see this being one hell of a race.
Individuals: no particular order... except for 1-3
Schmidt -MIDD
Coby: depends if he wants to race or chill - BOW
Rand - TUFTS
----
Cummins - CONN
Hannan - BATES
Leduc - CONN
Dilts - BATES
Gomez - ?
Gisore - Who knows who cares
Hoyt/Vallo - KEENE?USM
Harper - MIT
Koima- Williams

You know why new England regIon is a joke? Because the nescac only cares about the nescac. Here's a secret: the nescac blows. Too busy sucking off their own to see how slow they really are.
