I don't know about conspiracy "theories" but anyone knows that currency is a very valid thing to be obsessed over. If you knew what money really was and what is being done with it, you would be outraged, too, or at least be able to understand why others are. What has been done with money is based on fact, and it should be well-known that we are being robbed, albeit legally.

Anyone who claims this shows that they are a person who has listened to a bit too much from talk radio, think they "understand" the issue, but don't really know what they are talking about.

Is the shooter also a KKK supporter? He may well be a card carrying member of every hate mongering group there is.

He had posted on his Myspace page at some point a photograph of a United States history textbook, on top of which he had placed a handgun. He prepared a series of Internet videos filled with rambling statements on topics including the gold standard, mind control and SWAT teams. And he had started to act oddly during his classes at Pima Community College, causing unease among other students.

That behavior, along with a disturbing video, prompted school administrators to call in Mr. Loughner’s parents and tell them that their son had been suspended and would have to get a mental health evaluation to return to college. Instead, he dropped out in October, a spokesman for the college said.

That this kid was deeply troubled was apparently known, and he didn't get the intervention that was needed--and lives have been lost as a result.

I was talking about motive, not identity. From some of the coverage you would think Sarah Palin shot the poor lady.

I think ANY politician should be careful of how they phrase things. Ms. Palin made her bulls-eye map as a joke. The joke backfired, literally.

She is not responsible, but if she doesn't feel horrible that this guy may have been motivated by her map, then she would be truly heartless. It's obvious she wasn't thinking clearly enough before putting out her target map. Shame on her.

In the 1960s the KKK knocked off JFK, MLK, and RFK and halted Civil Rights progress limiting Afro-Americans with only scant new freedoms and access to public facilities and voting rights. There is still racial segregation in housing, public instititions, and private institutions. Theer is still economic redlining and discrimination in businesses. White Police can beat, torture, and assassinate black men.

I hope this isn't the beginning of new wave of KKK assassinations of Liberal Jews and Liberal Blacks. We have to make sure of this. Each and every one of us has to clamp down on Palin, Cheney, Boehner, McConnel, Romney, Brewer, Arpaio, Tea Party hatred and GOP hatred against freedom and democracy and the American way..

Then, your conclusion is that politicians are not responsible for indirect acts. Politicians are held to a higher standard then the rest of us. That is what politics is all about. Ms. Palin made a huge mistake. You cannot erase that simple fact.

The degree of the liberals' stupidity and hysteria is shining through clearly this thread. They simply assume that the crime was motivated by Sarah Palin without having any evidence whatsoever that the shooter had even seen one of these images (I'm a Tea Partier and I haven't seen them). I think on some level the liberals actually enjoy horrible events like this because it gives them an opportunity to fulfill their main goal in life, which is to point fingers and cast blame. You guys are a bunch of stupid, gossiping LOSERS.

Okay, then Obama is not responsible for anything the tea party blames him for. There is no evidence whatsoever that he directly caused any economic troubles, immigration messes, or anything. It's all indirect, therefore he is blameless.

Of course, I realize tea party logic loves to cast blame based on no direct evidence whatsoever. It is rather fun watching you hard tea party supporters contradict yourselves.

Read about the murder of Thomas Beckett. Think about the role of King Henry. *HE* didn't murder Beckett, but his words did.

The death of a 36-year-old woman, Jawahar Abu Rahmah, at a protest against the route of Israel's "separation wall" in the West Bank village of Bil'in last Friday, is deeply troubling on many counts.

Abu Rahmah died at the hands of the IDF simply because she was standing in the general vicinity of the protesters when the soldiers started shooting off tear gas.

Almost as bad, the Israeli authorities intentionally set out to lie about the circumstances of Abu Rahmah's death. The IDF both lied to journalists and then actually enlisted a group of bloggers to spread the story that she died of natural causes (asthma or cancer), and that her supposed killing by soldiers firing tear gas was some kind of Palestinian stunt.

Maybe he was influenced by the violent rhetoric of President Obama: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”
