I guess Sean did stay gold....after "tooling" the field in the 5K. Not bad for a 4:23/9:47 high school guy. The kid's putting together one hell of a season and I'm sure his expectations are high for outdoors as well. The SOCON as a whole is really moving forward (Kirwa's race at NCAAs in Cross, Moen's 8:05 this indoors...)

It only took him a year from Junior Nationals and Pan Ams to get back to where he is now. He seems driven and maybe we will see him drop some ridiculous steeple time this outdoors.
all the app guys may have had ridiculous hair, but they went out and got it done, as for someone making a comment that they think soderman is a tool, have you ever talked to him? He's one of the classiest guys I've ever met.

Just some things I've noticed with the SloCon...
-App slobros will continue to talk shit to everyone and expect for the real App state men to win something.
-UNCG will never find sprinters and will never fail to get more Kenyans.
-GSU, CofC, and Elon will continue to screw their men's teams with title IX.
-Wofford and Citadel will continue to run for their hopes and dreams and maybe get the occasional 8th place finish.
-Davidson will run fast in track and blow at XC.
-Samford is going to continue driving 6+hours only to realize it was a huge waste of time.
-And Chatt will have a NCAA qualifier who can't even finish higher than fifth in the SloCon.
agreed. I've always liked Sean. He keeps quiet and gets the job done. Thanks for keeping the conference moving forward!

I am a head track coach of a school in the Southern Conference. I don't even know what to say to that picture...first off it should not be on that website to begin with.
Secondly, I certainly hope that no athlete in the Southern Conference posted that picture to this message board. That is truly belittling to the featured runner. Please have a little human decency.
Something needs to be done to the person who posted that picture. If it was indeed a runner at one of these schools, their athletic department, head coach and AD should be notified immediately.

yes, that is ridiculous that it was posted on a message board, and does belittle the runner in question. there will be no repercussions for this act, however, because its a message board and there is no way to tell who posted it, and what would the penalty be? it should never have been put up on the soconphotos website, where it STILL IS- the photographers that are associated with the socon are who really are to blame for this.
yes the post should be deleted, but there will be infinite possibility for the act being repeated until the soconphotos people take it down from their website.

It's not like Western is even competitive with App now. The only distance points Western will get will be Tucker in the 800. App will probably score over 50 throughout the distances. App's got this in the bag
