he went from 2:11 last year to 1:55 this year. and we all know next week he could run 1:52.
so damn obvious from that final. he wasn't even pushing himself.

For a country obsessed with its image, this has turned out to be such a public relationship disaster for South Africa. ASA should have looked into this when it was raised earlier, instead they got blinkered by the expected glory and attention.

According to Eurosport Website, Semenya originally refused to go to the victory ceremony and receive the gold medal because the IAAF had requested a sex test.

I hope I'm wrong, but having been to Africa (but not South Africa), I'm afraid the vast majority of the commmon people there will not understand the science of this issue. They'll only judge this on genitalia and will think the rest of the world is targeting and subjugating them.

Caster Semenya's ex-coach has claimed the sex test controversy athlete is actually a hermaphrodite!
The unnamed coach told Swiss tabloid ‘Blick’ that Semenya is not a woman.
He said that tests to determine her gender had already been taken. “South Africa carried them out in March. The result is clear. Semenya should not have been allowed to start with the women at the World Championships in Berlin.“

Caster Semenya was cleared to run at the World Championships. Give her the medal and move on with it.
Had Semenya lost out in the qualifying rounds, no one would have said anything. Since she won, everyone is up in arms. The decision was made to allow her entry. Accept it. Put up the fight BEFORE the meet, not after she wins.
